up 6 lbs since thanksgiving. right track?

Hey guys. Im only up 6 lbs since thanksgiving...maybe closer to 5. My diet has been eating everything in sight. Yesterday i had a huge burger n fries and then a sandwich for dinner and lunch for breakfast that day i had two dumplings, two bowls of cereal and then some. The day before i had eaten a whole extra large pizza in one sitting and some snacks before n after. The day before that i went for sushi and had probably 50 pieces of sushi.

This isnt methodically done, i just have a huge appetite. I feel though that after my long cut , weight gain is harder. Ive been consistently eating with a borderline binge attitude since thanksgiving and have gone up only from 185 to 191. Is this normal ?

If you keep eating like that your not gonna be happy with the weight gain. Eating cleaner food is what's going to keep you lean and growing

This was me 6 months ago. I ate a burger or something junk post meal 3 times a day.

I went from 167 to 191 - gained some muscle of course but a bigger belly (around 25% bf)

    Not worth it!!!!

I am eating clean and tracking my macros now. 177lbs at 16.5% bf - I look close to what I was when I was 191 but this time no belly.

To answer your question - 5 pounds is nothing if you are eating anything and everything.

Ahh....How easy it is to gain weight devouring delicious yet fattening foods. But then reality sets in and the work required to burn that off makes the whole experience very taxing.

I personally never subscribed to the whole bulk/cut circular logic. As long as you maintain a positive nitrogen balance and eat with in your TDEE you can continue to make impressive gains and also keep your bf% low. Win- Win.

I'm also a proponent of flexible dieting, but as with everything in life, moderation is key.

Man, anything and everything is an understatement. My apetite really worries me...my friends have dubbed me "king of bulking" .
I devoured an entire box of cookies in an attempt to show my very skinny friend how easy it is to eat alot of food. He was talking about how even half a cookie fills him up so i guided him to eating 5 while i ate the rest of the box and left him in awe. I then had maybe 3-4 hotdogs, some nutella, then a large box of pizza afterwards. We took a trip to big bear (california) with friends when this happened. We were preparing to drink so my alcoholic friend told me the russians like to eat a slice of butter to coat their stomachs with, so they can drink longer since alcohol absorbs slower after...so we ate a block of butter between 5 ppl in our drunk phase, then began to drink...woke up a few hours later and had 2 bowls of cereal and chocolate. On the way home we got hungry so we got some chilli cheese fries and a double burger. That was all within maybe 30 hours, not counting snacks in between.

This is the true beast/nature of my appetite. This is how i ate regularly before to become 260 lbs and 40+% BF and i dropped it to 190lbs over the summer. It was an insane cut and amount of gym time but i did it. Thats why i worry maybe i did some damage since all this food later and im only up 5-7 lbs. Im surprised im not dead! On a more serious note, after my cut i have noticed more binge like tendencies...i was fat before and i still ate alot, but not with this consistency.

On the up side, i am getting stronger slowly, and my muscles look alot fuller. My vascularity is still there too. Ill really start to worry once my vascularity and abs slowly fade back into the fat darkness.

Of course i regret it! Haha. Itll take me a month to Clean up this mess! I think i havent eaten like this long enough to see such negative consequences, so ill give it until new years once the celebrating is over and i should be forced back on that college diet of chicken breast sweet potato. If i eat like this for another few weeks i would have undone all my hard work for sure.

Im back down to 189/190 now with this consistently cruddy eating, im really shocked. I am also having night sweats, wake up with my sheets drenched in sweat! Is this my bodys way of adjusting to the increased sodium in my diet?
