    Protein or Protein

    Hy Guys,

Until today, I was very keen that whey and other proteins from various meets are the best when it comes to muscle building.

Today my wife received some super healthy book what she ordered when we decided to include green smoothies in our diet.

There is much useful info in it according to Body, liver and kidney detox, but the author claims that proteins from plants are much better.

I know according to absorption protein from plants are better.

How about muscle building or maintaining muscle?

I am planning to try a ten days detox, and I have to avoid all animal-based protein supplement, meet, cottage cheese, milk.

The author tries to encourage to use plant-based protein.

Had anyone any experience with plant-based proteins?

Are they have the same nutritional values like animal-based?

Which is the best to go for?

At the end of the day all proteins are broken down into their individual amino acids and used by the body as need requires.

From a Biological Value perspective animal sources of protein are superior to plants, with whey isolate at the top of the game.

However, you can definitely get all the protein you need from plant sources. Mixing grains with legumes will provide you with all the essential amino acids. Calculating macros becomes harder though.

Well, I definitely won't avoid whey for long.
I just try to do this ten days detox before I start my next cycle.

I think fish is OK I was thinking about pea as well.

Will see I going to try them.

Yes, that is the other thing I am worried about. All the smoothies recipes written in the book, but no nutritional Information at all.

I know some food does not include in the daily calorie calculation, but I need to refresh my knowledge about them.

I heard many good things about this detox, but ten days on smoothies only a bit worries me.

Actually you mentioned the only one green I cannot cope with.

I wiil try it in my soothies, but might be hemp, pea and egg will be the solution.

It only for the 10 days detox only anyway.

I'm just curious - are you doing this b4 a pre cycle prime and if so how long are you planning on priming for?

I have never done it before, but detox has many advantages especially people using AAS.

My opinion is, it wise to do it after every cycle. But at least, one two times in a year.

My one is pre'cycle and consist of 10 days. Prime will end on the 11th than I start cutting.

Afterwards, I am going to do it after every PCT finished.

I am just curious about the calorie intake during detox. I briefly went through the book, but it seems very little calories consumed daily, so I might need to do some adjustments on the smoothies.

I think the book was written to general people in the USA, not for bodybuilders or athletes, so adjusting recipes to maintain LBM will be necessary.

If interested I can post the whole plan with recipes and the nutritional information.
