1 pound a week is pritty good.

As far as diet goes. It matters your goals. Figure out your tdee and what your trying to achieve. Go from there

I mean. If u think u can hold all that weight after cycle then have at it is guess.

U know that alot of the weight could be water weight and fat. Just make sure your eating clean and make sure your can maintain that amount of food off cycle as well. Or alot of food.

one pond a week of what? it can't be all muscle. some fat and some water, probably little muscle. on cycle i'd increase my protein intake to gain as much muscle as possible without gaming too much fat. keep it clean. remember the golden era they ate clean all year around and still gained lots of muscle, if you do then you have to lose it, and in doing so you'll lose most of your good gains. i'm not a believer in bulking then cutting, just keep it clean all year around.

Bass when ive done all my bulks in the past (natural) i always shoot to gain 1 pound per week in body weight. Not muscle. The muscle gains i cant be sure of until after i cut and measure my body fat percentage.

Thats just how i do it.. i dont gain muscle as quick as i used to when i bulked but in still try and gain a pound a week.

Interesting how you changed your ratios when on cycle!

I guess when on cycle your fitness level still has a lot to do with your potential gains and therefore what i can shoot for on cycle is a guess and test situation.

Im planning on going 1.5 pounds a week body weight gain and see if i dont put on too much fat.

Yes bass.. ive run into other people like you.. it is very interesting.. how is your physique though.. are you very muscular? Were you able to get that physique by keeping the same body weight year round?

i am 56 years old, and trying to get my physique where i want it is very hard, but i just started doing no carbs high protein diet, we'll see where that gets me. but the problem with cutting carbs for me is i don't recover well, and seem to lose strength. As you know there is no one size fits all, you got to keep trying different things until you find what works for you.

BTW that's my arm in the avi, just to give you an idea, but here is the latest i took a week ago or so,

    thanks fellas!

MMA, remember there is no one size fits all, you can listen to others and learn but at the end you have to find your formula. i wish someone told me this when i started, wasted allot of time. but then again someone probably did and i wasn't listening.

even though I'm not such a big of an expert, I do agree with this man. Food is very important .

In my head thats nothing. 8 pounds gains in 8 weeks. When i bulk, its kind of semidirty though, i gain 5 pounds each weak the first 3, then 2-3 pounds the next 3, then is usually stopps. And i never use alot. But i dont care about the water.
I guess you do, but 2-3 pounds should be a min for a bulk the first weeks.

I agree that 2-3 should be a min for a bulk the first weeks, but i disagree with the fact that you do not care about the water...
