    Macro counting and being anal

    Hey guys,
I started a cut last week and for the first time have been counting macros. I used to just make sure I took in less calories than I burned and ate clean while monitoring my body composition. I'm looking to get into contest shape and thought macro counting would be better, plus I am carb cycling. My question is, how anal should I be? Sometimes I'm unsure if I'm at X grams or if I'm slightly above or slightly below. If you guys recommend a food scale I'll get one but for now I was measuring with measuring cups or going off of nutrition labels. For instance I made turkey burgers and tried to make each one roughly 4oz to fit the serving size but it's hard to eye ball a perfect 4oz for each patty.

I've never been in a contest before but I would think one would have to be gnats ass anal!

Get a food scale, they are cheap.

    Hopefully others will chime

    Get a good scale.

I've had this one for about 2 years and it's hands down the best $20 I've ever spent.
