    Alcohol

So, ideally zero alcohol, but let's say it's just gonna happen every now and then...best type (vodka?), best time (I've read that it's worse to drink and then eat/while eating)?

Unsure man. I just hear alcohol hinders muscle gains. Unsure on the legitimacy of that. Either way I'm sure a beer or two after work once or twice a week won't hurt much. Extra calories lol

Are you referring to drinking on cycle or off?

None. Alcohol will set you back 100x more than anything.

Again, as i mentioned, i know that IDEALLY you want to cut it out 100%, but since i'm not competing or looking to walk around at 5-6% BF, my main question was on type and timing...Ive heard that the body will look to burn the "empty" calories of the alcohol first, so if accompanied by food, especially shit food, it can be a cluster. ive also heard that the "white" or clear liquors are a better choice, i assume because of the way theyre processed (?) anyhow, ive pretty much cut it back to just weekends, non-training days, but still was curious on the two things i initially inquired about....

The thing about alcohol is that it prevents your body from burning fat. Forget the empty calories, I wanna burn fat.

Humm I drink like a fish and am 55 years old, yet I still build muscle and walk around between 13-16% BF. I drink a lot of crown royal and I do it with the most unhealthy thing in the world diet soda. I do feel that if I could cut it out I would be way leaner and muscular, but it depends on your goals. I still want to enjoy life and in Wisconsin we drink a lot.
