Loss of gains off cycle
It's hard for me to understand why we lose some gains after cycle. I know everyone does and I haven't lost all my gains. If my diet and workout program is good enough to make good gains on cycle then it seems like it should be good enough to maintain all the gains after cycle. I can understand that gains would slow down off cycle but why would they go backwards.
My 1st cycle I gained 20 lbs and kept all of it. Finished 2nd cycle about 6 weeks ago. Only gained 10 lbs and have lost about 5 since the cycle ended. Possible some was water.
What is the key to keeping gains? My thought is that the key is diet but if your diet is enough for gains on cycle then how come off cycle your body suddenly doesn't have enough nutrition to maintain or even continue to make gains.

If you never lost any gains it would mean you can gain that weight without aas.
Yes, lots is water and some will be due to not eating enough post cycle.

The more gains you lose off cycle, the less you actually made on cycle. During ASS usage, we retain extra water and glycogen. This makes us look bigger, but really we just look "fuller" which is due to the extra glycogen and water retention. The key is to find the perfect balance of carbs so you aren't storing excess but at the same time have ample consumption to not hinder muscle gains. Much easier said then done.
All calories are not the same and this is the down fall of most IIFYM guys.
If its not diet, its your training.
