That's the pain of doing this, eating non stop.

Slight drawback or pain in the ass, but at least you get to eat, some people dont

I do 6 meals a day and usually every 3 hours (give or take a few minutes)

I'll change the amounts or what's in each meal depending on off season or prep.

I cannot do that. I do breakfast at 2000-3000 calories and dinner 2000-3000 calories. In between I do protein shakes and fish, fruit, or milk. Eating that many times a day makes me feel terrible. I also have to do just a shake after workout or I will puke. Especially on leg day, I will wait two hours to eat afterward.
When I was in my early twenties I didn't have this issue but doing it the way I do now fits my schedule better. The diet is the hardest part of gaining. I actually base most of this off how my stool is. If I go to frequently I change it up. Stool gets soft I know I need to get away from something. It is damn hard finding the right balance. I have set meals I built and there is not enough variety, but the meals I have fit me and will make me personally gain best.
Sometimes my meal takes me 45 Min to get down and it's a fight. I treat it like a set, to failure. This may not be the best way for some but it's the only way I can do it.

There are pros & cons to both ... For my body anyway

I have more energy and better digestion, when I do 16 hour fasts and have my meals in a small window of time

However, in terms of hormones & mood etc, I'm better when eating every 2-4 hours

I find I can eat "cleaner" foods if im eating 6+ times a day. On the weekends where I may sleep a little later then I do during the work week I may have to go down to 4-5 and I find my brain is telling me to throw in some shitty high calorie food in there so I don't have to eat so much in one sitting.

    during the week I eat:
    7am
    10:20
    12:30
    3:30
    6:00
    8-9ish

Its just the way my work breaks and lunches work out.

I think we can all agree there is no "one size fits all"

Find what works for you and roll with it brothas...

At 210lbs and 14% body fat, I started training for a show. I needed to eat about 4 times a day to be satiated. By the time I was 188lbs and 6% body fat, I was eating 6 to 7 smaller meals a day. My body metabolism was through the roof. I would eat a 12 egg white omelet with an onion and mushrooms at 7:30am and by 9am I was starving. I wasn't nearly as hungry when my body fat was 14%.

I do 2 shakes and 5 meals per day sometimes I'll add in a 3rd shake.

I'm self employed and i'm always around food and a blender (at my store) so its really easy for me to get these meals in. 6oz chicken and rice 4x a day and 6oz bison and rice once a day.

I tried eating bigger meals but less often but I would stay full for too long and I kept more body fat. I stay much leaner this way and i'm almost always hungry. I could easily fit in another meal and shake but I'm not on any gear so I don't want to go over 4k calories atm.

The main thing is getting your nutrition in. Like scorpion said above, find what works for you and roll with it.

Sometimes it's hard for me to eat after my pwo shake. I do about an hour or hour and a half later. But I try not to wait 3 hours.
