How good are post workout smoothies, not what I expected.

Started drinking a post smoothie but belly been growing and it's been the only thing I've changed in my diet. I haven't stopped because it really helps my mood and I feel better drinking it right after working out.
    1/2 cup oatmeal
    1scoop protein 25g
    Creatine 5g
    1banana
    About 3 big strawberries
    About 5 blueberries
    1 spoon pb
Been thinking it might be too much sugar and carbs, could I drop the fruit and pour another whey scoop?

The fruit is fine post workout to replenish depleted glycogen stores and prevent catabolism and to spike insulin try to keep it between 25-50 grams carbs depending on cutting or bulking ..cut out the pb spiking your insulin and pushing fat into your body is not a good idea..imo cut the oats too drink a post workout shake with 40 grams good whey 25-50 grams simple sugar dextrose or fruit is fine and then eat a good full meal a hour later is what works for me and for most..

The fruit is just over 100 calories, as is the protein.

Dropping the fruit and adding another serving of protein accomplishes nothing because they will cancel each other out.

The oats and PB are roughly 300-340 calories.

The whole shake is about 530-570 calories.

Imo you should just eat a meal of real food in place of the shake and drop one of your other daily meals.

Gonna have to try that out, drop the pb and oats and will probably add some more protein.

Smoothie/shake just works a lot better and easier for me time wise right after the gym.
