I don't eat them when I'm cutting. Yams are a lot better. If you do eat the potatoes then eat them earlier like around lunch.
I agree, yams are a better choice. But when to eat them all depends on your activity schedule. Yes earlier in the day is basic formula, but post workout meal is a good time to get some carbs in as well.
i agree with the tex, u should base it upon your activity schedule
i eat them when cutting. it is a clean carb source so.. ??

They are a clean source but the GI level is a lot higher than yams. I know for myself I have to watch where my carbs are coming from.Originally Posted by abstrack
