Will i get smaller if i dial back eating?

i set a new personal record today on bench press. i'm sort of happy, but in my exp every time i've reached a peak i crash. i don't want to do that. i want to keep getting stronger. my eating hasn't been spot on lately. it's just been OK. also i took about a week off from the gym because my CNS was taking a beating. my guess is that i was this strong before and now i'm seeing the results of my previously good eating. it's really not got a whole lot to do with the last three days of not getting enough protein. if i keep not eating enough though will i get weaker? yes right? and i wont get stronger either right?

    i'm not on a cycle.

Depends on how much you are under-eating by, how long you do it, your energy reserves in bodyfat, etc. I actually tend to hit some sizable PRs the first week of my extreme cuts (Lyle McDonald’s RFL protocol), but 1RM strength starts to fall hard by the second week. Such is why I only run it for 12 days, then do a two day refeed.

cool. stuff. interesting! thanks. hmm. eating is back up for me. regarding protein anyways. carbs are always usually pretty low. I need to start taking fish oil a lot more often. that's one thing i've really fallen off on.

not being on cycle plus not getting sufficient calories in = loss in muscle
