For years I've been going off the calories on the back of the big Jasmine Rice bag at Costco, thinking 1 cup of Jasmine rice is 180 calories. My dumb ass is just learning that is not the case, rather, it is 1/4 UNCOOKED is 180.

The macro breakdown for this brand is 0 fat, 40 carbs, and 4 protein.

I will eat a full cup of cooked Jasmine rice. I've looked a few sites and the calories range from 220-300.

Is there a better way to count carbs from rice? I know a bunch of bodybuilders will use grams "100 grams of rice" in their videos.

I have a food scale so I can easily drop the cup measuring and go with that. Let me know which is better.
