You guys should really look him up. Lots of good info, learn why the hormone "vit"D capsules are a total waist and why you should never remove the yoke from the whites. Actually pure eggwhites are very harsh on the kidneys. No shit...he explanes why.
Lots of good stuff. And also why you should not worry about high LDL cholestrol. But avoid the VS LDL makers such as fructose, which clogs the arteries.
Real good stuff.
Lots of topics presented in a harmonic way using enjoyable english.
Spoiler. Hole eggs are without competition the best protein source. Only milk from female breasts is at the same level.
Protein powders including whey isolate the worst. And real harsh on the kidneys!

From capsules and syntetic yes.
Else he said vit D, which is not a vit, but a hormone, is the most important nutritient. Actually scientist struggle with finding a process in the body, where vit D is not involved.
Best sources, the sun or cod liver oil.
Getting enough from food is hard.
But fat fish works, but not even close to the sun or cod liver oil
Its very very hard to get 400 IU from food.
U can drop 10 syntetic vit D pills without significant effect.
I guess we bodybuilders need more than 400. So get your ass to the shop and buy some cod liver oil. Especially wintertime if u live in a place with bad sun conditions.

Interesting. Vitamin D is indeed a hormone, but I disagree that supplemental vitamin D has no effect. I actually had to lower my Vitamin D intake, my Vitamin D-25 hydroxy panel came back elevated.
On the other hand, my wife has several.health conditions...lupus, hypothyroidism, and RA...and has to take the 50k iu caplet once as week. It's the generic, I think the brand name is Drisdol? Anyway they had to halv her dosage, so the pharmaceutical version does something.
Always good to see studies from both perspectives though!!

Vit D capsules do work, You need to take them with fats to absorb them. I still think some sun is your best option.

Perhaps u got D3, not D2, which is nuked from plants. D3 is nuked from animal sources and is much more potent.
Well, he said he tried vit D pills for patients with vert low vit D levels. No effect.
Anyway, cod liver oil is the best wo competition, so i stick with that.

This is becomming better and better. Antioxidant supps kill u. They forsure dont do u any good. A big study in 2007 showed that betakaroten and vit E supps increased mortality by 5%. Scientists stated it also was a conservative suggestion.
Body needs free radicals. They do a lot of good things. Not a single study shows that free radicals or oxidation are bad. Just a theori. Dr Ekbeg says it more opposite. Oxydation is what give u energy!
Yet, americans are using billion of dollars on antioxidant supps.
We need a little antioxidants from hole food. But it must be in balance.
More is never better when it comes to micros.
