    alcohol and hormones

    How does alcohol reduce testosterone?
    1. Does it go on the pituitary gland and attenuate lh and fsh?
    2. Gives it increased estrogen (shbg) manboobs. Which in turn provides lower testosterone.?
    3. Does it kill sperm? without giving much less lh fsh or testo?

Alcohol is bad for you in just about every way. When you are serious about fitness you will not drink at all or at the very least save it for very special occasions and even then in moderation. Dropping the booze was the biggest leap forward in my life both physically and in my professional success.

Bad for the liver, can cause hypertension, can lead to cancer, chance for addiction, lowered test. So take more test is how I approach it. Burning fat is another thing however, the body must use the calories from the alcohol first before it touches anything else.

Never had an estrogen issue. Personally don’t care about my testes and sperm at my age.

That said, I drink quite a lot every night and even though dropping below 11% bf hasn’t been attainable, I’m cruising along fine at 63. Tipping my glass to you now, cheers!

I know alcohol is not good. The question was which values are affected? lh and fsh? I have heard that shbg rises, which in turn leads to lower free testosterone. Is this right?
