how does turkey/chicken stay fresh???
Just got a microwave the other day, so yesterday I cooked up a bunch of shredded turkey. I made enough to eat the next couple of days. The thought was that I could make it for my sandwich that I take with me for work or I could heat it up in the microwave, thus saving some time since I wouldn't have to cook each time I eat.
But for how lonng can I keep cooked turkey/chicken in the fridge without it going bad??? I have, as most of you guys probably have at one time or another, eaten chicken gone bad in the past. And man you get really sick from that shit!!

Here is a link showing how long it is recommeded to store a bunch of different foods. You have to have Adobe Acrobat Reader to open the PDF file.
Poultry, cooked, keeps for 3-4 days refridgerated.

if its raw don;t leave it in the fridge, freeze it. If its cooked I would say 5-7 days easy. As I cook enough for the week and its always ready to go, and I have never gotten sick.
