A guy at the gym asked me about deer meat..."Is it a good source of protein...is it high in fat" I told him that I would find out...anyone know?

Yeah--deer meat is great for you. I just shot a big un' 2 weeks ago and im still eating off of it. My bro just got a little 4 pointer last weekend (his first kill) so i got even more meat coming. I LOVE IT. Saves on the grocery bill big time too. eat up.

Venison is extremely lean and very high in protein (most meats are). As long as it's not in sausage (mixed with unlean pork or beef) I say go to town. Venison is awesome. I can't wait till the end of the month so I can get some of my own. Mark
