    Rice a Roni, rice pilaf

I am in love with this stuff, i simply love it. could eat is three meals a day all year long. but it is "parboiled long grain rice". Does anyone know the GI for something like this? i do undercook it which i know helps the GI. I typically eat it with a chicken breast. anyway. am i being bad or good? do i need brown rice only?

If you are happy with your physique then what's the problem? If you are not, you are probably "being bad."

I doubt Rice a Roni is on anybody's cutting regiment, so definately eat it in moderation, or not at all.

I always go with the low fat method that it lists on that package. Anyone remember that Kan-Tong fried rice that they used to have? ****, that stuff was tasty

Brown rice and white rice are both fine, for ME anyhow. I say this because the type of program I am currently employing allows me to eat either high/low gi carbs, as they are being utilized by my body in their entirety, and at a time when insulin secretion is of no issue at all. Fat is kept to a minimum in any of these said meals.

If the rice has little or no fiber...only eat it post-workout...if it has a good amount of fiber, eat it whenever you eat other low-GI carb meals. It should have a low amount of fat either way. If you want to know the exact GI for various kinds of rice, try doing a search for GI databases online. Or go buy a book of GI values.
