well you can start by just having her cut out any junk....candy soda too much coffee with cream and sugar, pizza, cookies etc etc....that alone will help...from there try to get her to monitor what she eats...if she can count calories that alone will help her lose...also you might want to suggest she up her protein...chicken can be made so many different ways in a healthy manner...same with fish...try to get her to eat more vegetables and to stick with low GI whole wheat and grain sources for carbs.,
