This is a stupid question but, can any of you bros tell me the difference between total carbs and net carbs. Because on the chart i'm using to set up my diet there is only a few foods that these are different. Thanks

Usually, impact carbs are those that effect blood sugar levels. Non impact carbs are those that are usually fibrous or sugar alcohols that have negligible impacts on blood sugar levels. Subtract the non-impact carbs from the impact carbs and you get the net carbs.
Impact - Non Impact = Net carbs.

All you care about is net carbs. Better?
Non-Impact Carbs pretty much do nothing except carry Fibre.
Impact Carbs effect your blood sugar levels.
If there's 100g of Carbs, and 90g of them are NON-IMPACT, that means that only 10g of Carbs are actually going to effect your body.

not to hijack, but i do have a question....when reading about your how to cut thread i always wondered...you said on a workout day get in like 130 carbs (average) is this 130 net carbs or 130 total carbs...so far i've been gettin 130 total (give or take) with 25-30g fiber.
My guess is since fiber/sa's have no affect on blood sugar, nor glycogen replinishment, he meant 130 NET carbs. Just a guess, but I'll let him clarify of course.
