So my heavyset cousin has lost about 50 pounds off two cycles of the HCG diet. I consider myself a somewhat intermediate lifter sitting at 6'1 195lb 15%bf. I'm 21 and have been lifting on and off for years without any kind of steroid use or hormonal injections. I sat at about 9% for quite some time and now that im 15%+ I've been getting lectures from friends and family to get back in the gym. Anyways, like i was saying my cousin had been doing the HCG diet and was strongly encouraging me to give it a try. Out of curiosity I searched the web pertaining to the diet and all of the other people who had attempted the diet were also heavy set people. So I was curious how this diet would effect someone like me who is still someone athletic? Would I lose body fat the way they do?
