How much test did it take ??

My question is my test levels are around 300 .And I know everybody is not the same but how much test are you taking and how much has your test results gone up .Examples Im looking for would be something like my test was 100 Im on 50 mg a week and now my test is 500 ..Just curious If you guys could chime in on this that would be great thanks alot AC

The more important question is what are your free T levels, and what is your estradoil level? If 50 mg. per week is working for you, and you feel good at levels in the 500 range, then for TRT you there.

150mg test weekly

test level now 900 +

my last blood work it was around 1000 now im experimenting with androgel im down to 500 with the gel so my doc is going to go back to injections cause this shit gets on my wife and breaks her out ,cant beat the injections i never thought about trt until 2 years ago i used alot of gear in the past and never was able to get my natural testprod going.i wish i would of researched trt sooner.

because my new insurance wouldnt pay for the injections.its not as good as the injections at all.

thanks for the fb Harley...I was curious because I just got the gel and am at the low start dose and just found out that if my doc would prescribe injectables, my insurance will make me pay 20% instead of a nice copay...if i made decent money, i could afford the injects...so their way better? I don't want to get that big anyway...just want to be able to burn fat again and maybe add a little LBM.

When I started HRT my test was 290 my doc put me on 25mg a wk it is now 420 he wants to keep it there.

Mine was about 250, I went on 100mg Test E and it sits about 1400 on that dose which is twice the top of the range

nice info...Anthony...my levels are similar to yours ('round 300...little less)
(275 Feb. 2006) (298 Mar. 2006)...started androgel (50 mg test)(1 dose a day)and went in 14 days to check AGAIN...I put a call in to my Endo yesterday to ask if the test was ok or if I need to come in sooner that the 90 day appointment I already had. They wouldn't tell me over the phone what my level was, but that I can have an earlier appt. So, I'm guessing that it didn't come up enough (maybe not even mid range (500 or so)....little worried about that, but she's a good doc...seems concerned about my hypo, but don't know yet if she will give more or what's gonna happen...I'll find out for sure on the 26th and if they won't fax my test levels...i'm going to go pick them up....will post the results later

My endo had a cancellation today...so I was able to get in early to discuss my test levels after 14 days on the gel. Well, the doctor says what brings you back so soon???? I said I wanted to see if my levels have improved and that the manufacturer brochure that comes with the gel says to retest in approx. 14 days...she said...WELL WE DON'T DO THAT HERE....IT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE A 90 DAY RECHECK AND I'M GONNA CALL THE MANUFACTURER....BLAH BLAH BLAH....
as a matter a fact ....i thought she was a bit snippy this time (the first 2 visits were quite pleasant) maybe she has some people trying to pull stuff?? and I brought up GH and she wondered why i would even bring up that...and back to the testosterone levels....after 14 days...my total test level was DOWN from 298 to 140!!!!!!!...i had a MRI of the pituitary and it came back fine and prostate numbers were good too...but she said that it could take up to a YEAR to get normal #'s....that doesn't sound consistent to the manufacturer's brochure...she said she had a bad case of upping dose too soon and dood had RAGE and shit and bad acne....so I'm wondering if a 2nd Opinion is in line?

yeh..man...thats what i was thinking...i don't mind her looking out for my health...but she WAS snotty....like...i should have waited 90 days...SOME DR. FORGET THAT THEY WORK FOR US...not the other way around....but I have never heard of taking a year to get levels up????

I'd have to agree. My doc is totally new to all of this yet he's keeping an open mind and set me up for bloodwork after 3 wks but told me to contact him if I had any concerns. I got all my initial info. here and then bought a book just to have another source. I borught this to the doc and we talked. Like me, you can find another doc., even if it's not easy or more expensive. It's your body and your life, you get to make the call, we're not talking about changing a med or dosing, it's your cash, you can test if you want. Hell, get a test and take the results to someone yourself. Too many physicians think they know all they need to know, and they wonder why their malpractice insurance is so high! My docs have had no problem writing heavy narcotics for my pain but worried about testosterone! Figure that out. Here's one better. Had low libido, asked if I wanted Viagra! I never said I had ED!!! Damn! That's like offering anti-fugal meds for a sinus infection!! I'm cool with my doc but I'm still getting a 2nd opinion. I want to make sure it's the proper med for me, the best dose or if I should add something else as well. I'll take the info back to him but if he's offended, he's not the doc for me. I want a professonal not someone worried about his bottom line. He's got plenty enough time and patients to earn him an excelent living. Time for us to change the way medicine is handled in the US!!!

This is the reason right here I said forget it .Found some sources checked them out with the vets and ordered my own HRT .Im doing 250 mg EW of Test E ...I have awsome insurance that pays everything on bloodwork so I got that done went over everything with my Doc and she agreed to monitor everything but she said that she is against it .. Im into my 3rd week so far no huge changes except My lifts are up alot 3 weeks ago on squats it was 315 for 2 reps now I could do 315 for 8-9 .My body is able to keep up with everyday stuff alot better .Im sleeping better now as well .As far as sex goes no real drive yet basicly its the same so just have to wait and see ...AC

Not to drag this into another topic, but it is true to some extent as to how the docs get treated adn comped. I have a friend in the pharm sales biz. Sad that it trickles down to the individual's treatment, it could be dangerous! One must be willing to look, work hard at it, and fit for what is in their bet interest. Personal opinions and asthetic issues aside.
