please explain my free test results

Got my free test levels back today. Man these dr. offices piss me off. My free test. amount was highlighted in black in a column by itself , under the column that reads "OUT OF RANGE". The nurse tries to tell me that the levels are only "slightly low". These people act like the world will end if they help a man restore his libido.OMG!!!!
HERE'S MY POINT: THE LAB IS QUEST DIAGNOSTICS. MY TOTAL TEST. WENT UP FROM 370 TO 435. AFTER FINDING MY TOTAL TEST WAS 370 I REQUESTED THAT HE CHECK FREE TEST. 2ND READING AT 435 WAS .91.
I BELIEVE THIS IS A PERCENTAGE AMOUNT. THE REFERENCE RANGE(NORMAL RANGE) FOR THIS TEST WAS 1.00-3.10 %. MINE WAS 0.91%.
IT HAS 2 READINGS FOR FREE TEST, BUT IT IS DIFFICULT TO UNDERSTAND.
LOOKS LIKE THIS. SOMEONE PLEASE EXPLAIN WHAT IS WHAT.

IN RANGE OUT OF RANGE REFERENCE RANGE

    TESTOSTERONE , FREE 0.91 L 1.00-3.10 %
    PERCENT
    FREE TESTOSTERONE 39.8 35.0-155.0 pg/ml

i am 32. you replied a bit to my post from 4-1-06 @ low test levels. I have done 3 cycles in the past few years which i believe has led to this problem.
total test was in the low normal range but free test was def. in the below normal, i believe. you spoke of using arimidex to prevent test conversion to estrogen. free test is what is converted i believe. so by suppressing estrogen conversion would that not raise my free test results???
my biggest problem is that w/ these results my doc acts as if i am just fine. gave me 2.5 ANDRODERM AFTER I INSISTED THIS WAS THE PROBLEM AND NOT DEPRESSION. I AM EXPERIENCING A SEEMINGLY REAL PROBLEM WITH TRYING TO GET MY DOC TO REALIZE THESE ARE NOT THE TYPE OF TEST NUMBERS THAT ALLOW MY LIBIDO TO FUNCTION PROPERLY. I THINK HE THINKS I AM TRYING TO SCORE ON SOME JUICE, WHEN I AM ACTUALLY TRYING TO FUNCTION NORMALLY. HE DOES NOT KNOW OF MY PAST TEST USE THOUGH.

The first free test number is a test that uses mg/dl. The second is pg/ml. 2 different types of tests. They used them both on your blood work, not sure why. With low free test you will feel low libido and kinda tired.
My total was 486 pg/ml and free test was 0.85 mg/dl. I am a lot older than you but that was not acceptable to me, doc was fine with it. so now working on raising that number on my own.
