    HRT/Test

I'm 28 y/o, 6'1", 185 lbs ... been lifting regularly now for about 7 years or so ... always been very difficult for me to put on weight no matter how much I eat ... "ectomorph" physique, etc., low energy, mild depression, always get tired, etc., plus I'd even venture to say some ED issues as well here and there ....
Anyway, I went to an endo the other day and got my blood work back and now I'm pissed I never got this shit looked at sooner. My test levels in two sep tests over a span of 2 weeks were 248 and 314 ... which I know are low for someone my age. Weird though bc I grow facial hair quickly et al.
So he said he'd be willing to start me on HRT/Test treatments. That being said, what do you guys think is the best course of action for me when I go meet with him? Ideally, I'd be looking for something where I can gain the benefits of raising my test but at the same time providing me with BB gains in the gym, enhancing my physique, assisting with ED, etc. ... I know eth v cyp vs. gels vs. creams etc. provide different benefits to a certain degree? Also would want a high enough dosage where the results will be noticeable of course ...
Basically, what treatment should I tell the doctor I want and what dosage per week should I request? I'd want to request as high a dosage as possible I'd think?
Anyway, thanks for any insight you guys might be able to provide. I appreciate it.

I had practically the same experience a couple of weeks ago. I am 30 years old 5'9" and 190 lbs. When I was 20-25 I could put on mass fairly easily, but now it's tougher. I have a decent physique, decent energy, mild depression, a good sex drive and no ED issues.

I ran a total testosterone test and it came back 241. The doctor immediately ran a second test a week later and it came back 296. This is really low for someone my age. My free test was 11.5 out of the 8-25 scale. My LH was high and my FSH was normal.

I grow facial hair quickly too. My testicles are a decent size and I am fairly ripped. My sex drive seems to hit me in waves. It's either extreme or non existent. I get it on like 5-6 times a week and usually spank it 1-2 times a day. Sorry TMI!

My General Practitioner wants to put me on HRT/TRT.

I went to a urologist who ran a bunch of other tests and he says that I am fine. He says that despite the low levels I show no other symptoms. He says he treats the patient and not the number and that my body seems to function fine at a lower test level.

I am getting an appointment with a top endocrinologist in San Francisco to run further tests.

People have steered me away from starting an HRT/TRT program because these will completely shut down my production of testosterone and I will need to take it for the rest of my life. Also, I will never be able to have children if I go the HRT/TRT route.

So I am exploring other options such as homeopathic and herbal routes to try and raise my test levels. I don't know if this is temporary or permanent from here on out. My test levels were high when I was younger. I have not done AAS in years so this was not a contributing factor. A couple weeks ago I had a really bad episode of sore nuts for like 2-3 days. I don't know what caused that...

It's cool to talk with someone who's practically in the same boat as me. Perhaps we can help one another. I really wonder what could be going on and hope that this is only temporary.

A reasonable dose for HRT is 100mg Test per week. Thats what I do and my average levels are now around 1100 even on that small a dose. I am 51 by the way. Now everyone is different so what works well for me may not do anything for you but I would start at 100mg per week and then get some tests done to see what the effect has been.

No just the test, unless I am on cycle like right now. I get my bloods tested every two to three months thoug, to make sure everything is in order. Estrogen is the biggest worry and so far so good.

Excellent choice for bridging, so is IGF. HGH is a six month proposition though, if I didnt have a wife who doesnt know I am on I would have been on HGH a while ago. Its needs to be refigerated and its to hard to hide

Thanks for the responses guys, seems to be some healthy debate, I certainly don't want to permanently shut down my natl test production at age 28 and not be able to have children! But then again, perhaps the test HRT will considerably enhance other aspects of my life ... So once I start it's the type of thing I have to continue forever apparently ... And 100 mg/week is a good starting dosage? ... Because I don't want to stunt my natl test production forever are IGF or HGH reasonable alternatives?

There are a few HRT/TRT programs out there that I have been investigating that supposedly won't shut down your natural testosterone levels permanently where you receive the test in cycles and then have PCT. The goal of the program is to eventually raise your natural levels so you won't need to take anything. I don't know if Oasis offers any similar programs.

How would the homeopathic substance, testropinol, work in raising my natural testosterone levels?

See the link for info on the homeopathic alternative:

I was in almost the same boat as a couple here. After really feeling terrible for months my Endo diagnosed me with low test (251).

I was put on 100 mg test/week and told to come back in three months (Self inject at home.)

I was concerned about side effects but for me the alternative is really not an option. I couldn't take the effects of the low test any longer. At 43 I'm not having any more kids...I already have enough anyway. But if I were 28 I'd be concerned with that aspect.

So in my case the HRT has been a life saver.

I haven't been back for my followup so I don't have numbers as to where I'm at.

Question: I noticed I really start to feel the effects of the test wearing off around day 5. Do you think it would be wise to adjust my schedule to conform to what my body is telling me? I was thinking of going to a two a twice a week schedule to keep the levels...ah...level.

    Any comments would be appreciated.

Twice a week would be way more beneficial from a levels perspective there is no doubt. Try it and see how you feel
