TRT and increase in bp
Check this out guys, I have been on weekly injections of test e for the last month (150mg each). A couple weeks ago I had to stop wearing my wedding ring because it got tight. When I went to see my new HRT doc last week in Michigan my BP was 150 as far as the top number. Every time I have gone to the dr my bp has always been normal. In fact last month they took it at the endo the day before starting test and it was normal.
I read that retaining water can cause an increase in bp so this is why the give water pills to high bp patients.
Anyone else have this happen??

Well it is good to know that I am not alone and that this can be a side effect of HRT. I got one of those home bp kits so I have been taking it myself. Actually just took it and it was 149 over 98. I will call the doc today to see what he says.

148/98 is high bro...too high. Thats not even borderline. Don't put off the doc, or put off the next injection, one or the other.

The dosage you are taking would put you up a few points, but not that high... I would bet your bp without gear is around 135/90 which is time to look into getting it treated depending on your age, etc.
No big deal, but get it fixed.

different tries. Finally got one called Lotrel. One additional side is that they got a diuretic in them. That will get rid of bloat, water. Good Luck!

Does androgel cause the same bloat as injectable test? If not maybe I should look at a switch?
I am waiting to hear back from my hrt doc. We'll see what he says.

all good info...spyke, you did mention that everytime you went to doc, BP was normal...and now it is 150...that is only 1 time...i wouldn't base anything on ONE high BP check...mines been high if I've consumed a couple of big ass mugs of coffee or a couple years ago when i was doing ephedra...but definately check it a few more times...i know where i live i can just walk/ride to Publix and check it anytime...i know your not gonna ignore it...but i wouldn't panic over 1 score....just my .02...hope it helps...by the way...i've been on androgel 2 months...1 month 5mg...2nd month 10mg....no bloats...ring still fits..and BP was fine a week ago at my endo's...keep us posted

jpkman, I went out and got a home BP machine from Walgreens. I have been taking it several times a day and the top number ranges from 137-150 and the bottom number is between 77 and 90. This is really making me think twice about the whole trt thing. I mean a shot once a week for life is one thing but now I am looking at hcg shots 2 times a week and maybe BP meds too for life. Who knows what longterm use of that stuff can cause....
I am really down right now and I still have not heard back from my trt doc out of state.... makes me start to rethink this whole virtual office visti thing as well

yeh man...i'm feelin ya...i thought you would check it more than just that one time....and it looks like it's hi always now...and you said you been bloated since the injects...man i'm sorry it's not working 4 u...you got a regular doc or just the virtual doc....man i'm feelin for you...you know that's a big ass dose for a starting TRT IMO...i know it's not like a BB cycle but just 10mg of androgel got me from 200 to hi 700....i can't speak for the injects....I had been wanting to switch to injects, but at age 37 and TRT for life....that's a whole lot of holes....man...nuff a bout me...when you do for next shot...you gonna just chill 4 a bit, right?

spyke...hope all is well...i wanted to kind of clear up what i said in just the last post b 4 this one....i think i over spoke about 150mg being a big ass dose...i just know my endo's wouldn't have started me with that amount...i probably would have jumped on that dose, too...and a lot of bros seem to be comfortable there now....but it looks like it's a bit much for you, anyway...keep us posted

Well I heard from my Hrt doc today. He says I am probably taking too much test e at 150mg per week. That could be what is causing the BP and water retaining.
Looks like he is going to switch me to test cyp as well as lower the dosage. Don't know what we will lower it to but I think it will be around 100mg per week.
I hope this helps the BP.

I am kind of confused why you would do hcg twice a week for like. Your endocrine system gets desensitized to hcg. Hcg should be used sparingly to keep your natural test working, not regualarly according to everything that I have read.
You might want to think about cycling off. Getting back to your homeostasis, then check you BP. (I personally think that you you will be 120-140/80-85.)
Once you know where you are, you (an your doctor) can evaluate the effect of each coumpound on YOUR body.
You are shooting at a moving target if you don't.
Just my two cents.

I have heard that too about test e being better in terms of bloat then test c. Maybe they effect different people in different ways?

Went to the store to test bp because the home thing does not seem too reliable. Maybe it is a cheap one.
I rushed in from the parking lot so my heart was racing and I just satright down and took it. It came back high but dont remember what (around 150 I think)
So I just sat there for a min and tried to calm down, breathe and relax and it was 135 over 79. I took it again and it was about the same (136 over 80 or so) Good news but WTF.
Now that I am so concerned about my bp, start getting anxious when I test, so maybe that is raising it ? My ring is fitting better now and I am wearing it again....
Could my body be adjusting to the test? Is this even possible?

When you start taking test your body goes threw changes. You metabolism changes. You notice weird things. It's normal. You should get a good cuff;
you can get one at Wal Greens or Wal Mart for about $60.
The ones at the stores are shit. Your blood pressure can go up just thinking
about lawyers of something bad.
You got to relax for 10 minutes. Put the cuff on correctly. Don't talk. Relax.
If your blood pressure is over 120/80. Get some Hawthorne Berry. It works.
If that don't help you got to go to Doc and start trying Blood Pressure pills.
I have 4 stents in my heart so I know a thing or two about the Cardio.
My cardio Doc knows what I'm doing and is fine with it.
If you have cholesterol problems, are over weight, stressed out. You may
have high blood pressure. These things can be worked out and should.

Spyke how is the BP?? I was told by my doc that just going to the doc make people nervous and can raise BP by 20points. I was told to just check it three times a day relaxed. But since you are just starting your program it might take your body a week or so to adjust to the new hormone. My bp was up a little last night because I was so jacked thinking to myself should I be putting this many things in my body at once. Got nervous worked my selfup into a lather. this morning I feel like a million bucks!! AS a matter of fact I feel like a billion bucks
