Upped Trt Dose And Got Tendonitis

Since I started taking injections from androgel , I started uppin my dose of test cyp in hopes to get a better anabolic effect. Week 1 (200mg), Week 2(300mg), Week 3(400mg). Somewhere in there I developed tendonitis in my right elbow that was completely healthy. I had tendo in my left for a few years but the right was always healthy. I think I aggrevated my left throwing up dumbells and since then I pretty much eliminated dumbells from my workout because I couldn't come any where near the weight I could put up with the healthy side. If I did any at all, I would have to go light.

Well, question is: Would reducing the test and adding deca help? If I run aneven 200mg with each compound will I see a better anabolic effect anyway than the test alone? I also read a post that deca made rotator cuff issues vanish. Anyone have a similar result?

    Thanks for any input!

Well first off you are no longer doing TRT...you are running a cycle. As we age, as you know, our joints and connective tissue are more prone to injury. I would guess that with the cycle level doses of test C you began lifting heavier and injured your elbow not due to the test, but to the increased load your elbow was not ready for. TRT can be a slippery slope and it takes discipline to use TRT as intended, and 300 to 400mg/ week is not the intended dosages. I would reduce back to 200..which still seems high, and if you want to run a cycle, research, plan, ask for feedback in the other forum regarding your cycle, and go for it for 8,10,12 weeks then drop back to TRT levels. Right now it sounds as if you're just running one permanent cycle...and with that trouble is just around the bend.

    Be careful bro....

Cycling testosterone decreases collagen synthesis drastically which is the building block of connective tissue.

Lower the TRT dose for sure.

Might want to throw some GH in there for the tendonitis.

Thanks TB...I never intended on keeping at that dose...I just wanted to kickstart and then taper off back down to 200 or less. I am still new to TRT and did only one cycle 15 or so years ago (Test and A-drol). With only 3 weeks of doing the cyp, I went up from 200-400mg and did not see a significant incresease in weight/strength to warrant the injury. Prolly only 10lbs on bench if that. But I do see your point with the age and running the test alone. I am going to lower to half and add deca . I post in this forum because I AM on TRT. I still haven't found an optimal level of hormones since I didn't use an AI along with my test.
    Thanks

It can be a cumulative effect. How much do you go up in all upper body lifts? Also any new lifts, increased sets or reps? At only 3 weeks you would not have been feeling much from the increase in C, it is cumulative as well. If you're gonna do deca make sure the dosage of deca is less than the dosage of test otherwise even on test you could develop the dread deca-dick, translated that means "limp noodle". Take care of yourself bro....

thanks again...i think I have a better game plan....here all along thinking that if i ran test alone, I would be fine seeing how noobs are even told to do it alone. I'm glad I got my estro checked soon after i started. I guess that can be a learning experience to some to keep levels monitored. I hope a couple of weeks with the high estro won't do too much damage and I caught it in time. I've started 6-0X0 to try and get that down and won't go over 200mg of test in the future.
    Thanks

    No problem!

200 test sounds fine and 150 deca is ok but, I would not get excited about the Deca(if for the Tendonitis).

GH will more than likely end up being your friend.

research GH and tendons.....you'll see what I mean.

I was reading the profile on Deca and was wondering if I am going to need an anti progesto product as well if I go with 200mg Test, 150 mg Deca. Or does cardio keep the water away enough usually? Will this combo along with an AI usually bring a better anabolic effect than the 400mg test alone?
