Finger/bone size
I've heard that testosterone can increase bone size. Any of you getting bigger finger/hands? My fingers are thin, I think because I was born prematurely and was a very small baby.
Is this fixable with HRT?

I've not experienced this with Test but with high levels of GH over a period of time I feel as if my fingers have grown in width, Had to buy a new wedding ring.

HGH may increase bone size but it will also increase the size of your internal organs and give you a wierd frankenstein brow at higher doses. Use it only under the supervision of a real MD. I think an endo would be best.

I believe it causes cartilage to grow but not the actual bone. Deff increases water retention.

1. First of all, platelets are cell fragments in the bloodstream, which help clot blood if the body loses a lot of blood. What you are referring to are growth plates. Two completely different things, except for the letters "p-l-a-t-e".
2. When growth plates fuse/close no further growth is possible ONLY in bone length (aka height). However, growth is still possible in width and density. So, yes, your hands and fingers will be larger (well, wider, not longer).
Admittedly, in order to grow bone/hands/etc. you would have to be getting into sizable doses, which might grow things other than bones (organs, etc.).Last edited by pimpdawgin; 12-04-2006 at 03:47 AM.

I wonder what kinda of dosages would cause this?
Not much research on this particular subject.. also why would they give AIDS patients such large dosages if this were the case?
