Started injections today!

I went to see my very liberal doctor today and I asked for test injections from home every week 100mg He said he wants me on it at 200mg every two weeks and if I do not get the result he said we could then try to it every week. I reluctantly gave in because I figured if he does not do what he said or if I do not see results lab wise and libido energy etc then I can always take 100mg a week instead after all I just have to do it!

I talked about wanting to have overall testosterone levels of 1000 and he was like "That is pretty good but you can have levels up to 2000 or something and it won't hurt". He did say everything you do not need is just wasted and cost more money and may lead to health problems. He said we will have to test my PSA every three months or so.

Has anyone here tried Test Ethanate every two weeks at that dose?

I did not know if I should choose cyponate or ethanate?

Test Ethanate cost TWICE as much as cyponate and I mean twice as much!!

Why is that??

Ethanate is suppose to metabolize slower therefore lasting longer

I do not feel anything much except I feel a little more alert and energetic.
My libido is the same but I just had the shot of test eth 200mg about 4 hours ago.

What are the pros and cons of cyponate vs ethanate?


How long should it take before I feel the full effect of the ethanate One week or FIVE WEEKS and how long before my body should be adapting to it?



Would my bloodwork look ANY different injecting Test eth or Cyp every other week vs everyweek?

My doc did not know ANYTHING about what HCG or Arimadex does so I left him some literature and I think once he realizes he can prescribe it without going to jail he will do it in a heartbeat. He will do almost anything you want.
He thought it was HGH (hehehe) and was like well I will look at the state laws to see if I can.

The ONLY reason I am trying every other week is because I can always go the other way if I want and this way I can see what it does for me.

I have a pretty slow metabolism which has gotten much worse since my test dropped to 400 on my over all test. Maybe I will metabolize the test eth slowly.

I have thought about trying PCT one more time but I did it with nolva and clomid and I came back some for a while but this was last september it just eventually went back to the way it was the third week of PCT.


I felt like I was on the mend for about 6 weeks then for about 6 weeks after that I was taking pain meds and doing some social drinking. I then quit and for the last two months my test levels have dropped to zilch.

Now I was drinking and taking some oxycontin for my back pain so that contributed to the drop in my test levels however, I have to think
if I had not done a cycle last year and I was not 40 years old that narcotic pain meds and alcohol would should not have knocked me down as if I had finished a cycle and not done pct.

You levels will fluctuate a bit more but you may not even notice it. See how you go.

Yes probably, depending on when you get the blood work done. But like I said you may not feel the change to much

My doc put me on 200 mg test cyp every week, refused to give me a anti estrogen. I started feeling really good and was very happy till about four months into it. I felt like crap again, was bloated joints hurt energy levels low again. Did an indepent blood test through a hrt clinic, they had never seen estrogen levels as high as mine.....ever. Advised that the estrogen clogs receptors and negates the positive effects of the test as well as causes other problems. Im new to this but can say from experience.....have your doc put you on anti estrogens NOW. Then you can adjust fire down the road with blood work results.

Well you can get the AR liquidex which is the same as Arimadex only hmmmm

you would need to get some kind of syringe without needle to measure amount. I do not know if I am going to get arimadex from my doc because I can't find any materials (medical) to show him that will make him understand the need for it. If I tell him that guys at the gym say you use it he will not even consider. HOWEVER if he does not I have the option of getting it ( I already have liquidex anyway from when I did a cycle last year)

It sounds like I would have to get HIGH estrogen for my doctor to prescribe arimadex and that would be only if he could find that other docs were prescribing it for men and not just for WOMEN and BREAST CANCER.

From the way you talk it sounds like I do not want to even experience ANY high estrogen symptoms even if it means starting on arimadex early.

I am on 200mg of ethanate every other week. I just had my first injection at home 2 days ago. I am getting some libido and energy increase but nothing amazing yet. I will go a few more weeks on this dose and them maybe go to once a week injections and after that maybe I will bump it up to 150 or 200 a week depending on if I can get my doc to go along

I am going to change to cyponate because it is HALF the cost here where I live.

There is not al whole lot of difference between cypionate and enanthate. Some say they hold a little more water wuth the cypionate, but the half-lives are not that much difference.

As for 200mgs every 2weeks vs. 100mgs. every week: If taken every 2 weeks, by the time your next injection is due, you may find your test levels low. It's possible that this will put you on a bit of a hormonal rollercoaster ride. Also, you may find that you get a nice little lift (mental/emotional/physical) the first few days from a 200mg shot that you may not get with 100mgs. The thing is, everyone reacts differently, and you don't know until you try.

Now for the length of time it takes: Again, it depends on the individual. If you have had low test levels for a while, it may take some time to heal all the damage (cellular). You should start to notice a difference in how you feel (well-being) and your performance in the gym soon. Give it some time.

As for your cycles causing your test levels to plummet, this is highly unlikely after recovery. Your chronic pain probably has more to do with this than anything else. Anyway, good luck and let us know how you are doing.

My experience has been a rollercoaster due to the HRT (forum) clinic change. Anyway, let me know how you are doing and about your experience with HRT.
