Getting shots, seem to come down quick...

Hi, I am new here. Got a question for anyone who can assist.

Currently on 300 mg injectible test every 2 weeks (started 5 weeks ago). 1st week great. At 1 week mark, I seem to have withdrawals and feel totally zapped. Any tips?

    Thanks a million,

    IronUte

Do you injesct yourself? If so why not try splitting the dose up and try injecting every week?

Good call. If you can do it I would suggest this as well. It will result in more even hormone levels which is better for the body.

Have you told your doc how you are feeling? One thing that happens when you start exogenous test is that your natural levels fall. It can take some time for your body to adjust the synthetic hormone. Just my 2 cents...

Thanks Big James. No, I have not told him. I will this next go around. I was on Androgel prior...but the gains with the shots are much better so I switched.

I am 37 years old. Test levels were at 206 prior to therapy...80 year old man levels...so the doc said. I have not taking test previously so I really appreciate everyone's advice.

the problem is that after a week your test levels dropped due to half life of the product (assuming Test E or C).

Discuss this with your doc, and he might do the injections once a week instead like suggested by others.

usually most people dont have that kind of pronounced drop with every other week injections--since you are you can do as therecanbeonly1 does and 200mg per week(usually 1 cc per week) should work great--maybee after awhile the doc will let you do it yourself so you dont have to run to office for shots--unless there is a hot nurse then make sure shots are in hip

I'm on 100mgs Test E/week. I notice by the time for my next shot, my test levels are low (brainfog, decreased energy, etc.). Just this week I am splitting my shots into 50mgs. bi-weekly. I will let you know how this works. It was suggested I try HCG ..250IU 2 days before my next weekly shot, but I thought I would try the bi-weekly routine before adding another compound.

    Thanks Tap!

Yeah, Would save me sitting in the office for 45 min. P.S. the nurse is hot, so I'm not complaining too much yet...

    FB,

Much thanks. Yeah, I feel totally zapped at 1 week mark. I'll see if I can do a split - 150 a week. The good news is I'm getting big. Just don't want to be tired and big...

Have your Doc checked your thyroid, adrenals, E2, and sugar levels? All of these could be possible causes of the fatigue....especially high E2 levels.

if the hot nurse is interested she'll meet you elsewhere....save your time and convince you can do the shot yourself and you can do your own dosing then

fbcoach....what was the hcg suggested for exactly for you?

Hey Jkpman....what's up bro? The suggested dose was 250IUs on days 5 & 6.
It is used to keep the ole nads working. What happens is sometimes after starting HRT you feel good for a while, then when your testicles stop producing their natural test, they not only shrink, but you not getting as much test (combination of synthetic and natural) and you don't feel as well. HCG not only raises your test, but it can also raise your E2 levels. You may need an AI.

interesting thought-- as when you are on hrt your nads are not working properly anyway or you wouldnt be on it--if the hcg makes nads work again then why dont docs try that first to see if can kick your production
or maybe thats not good as doc will take away your test

I'm not real clear what your question is, but I will try my best to answer it. Everyone's testicles are producing some testosterone ..for example, if your test level was at 300ng before beginning HRT, it will not be that high during therapy, therefore your not getting as much with the natural and synthetic combined. Also, they are doing studies to see if there is something in your natural test that helps with other things (enrgy, mood, well-being, etc.)

hey fb...same ole same ole here still kickin

i thought that was what the hcg was for but was wondering if it had other benefits as well...to answer that one question as to why don't some docs start hcg off instead of straight to test and i remember my first endo was giving that as an option
i'm going for a 6 month review this week with lots of bloodwork and i was wondering if i should ask for some hcg and or deca for the ole joints
    hope all is well

Are you physically active while taking HRT? What is your gym routine/ diet like? I'm on 200mg eow and I don't have any problems. Been on for 1 yr.
