hrt dosage of 200mg / 2 wks ?
My doc just put me on a dosage of 200mg Test Cyp every two weeks. Personally I don't like this as i think that even for hrt this is not going to give me the stable blood levels that I need. My question is this....how can i get him to up the dosage? Just make sure test levels are low next time I'm tested? Also he did not prescribe any AI or SERM...whats the best way to bring that aspect up to the doc? Thanks in advance.

You're 25 years old, why are you on TRT? Just wondering. How long have you been on TRT?

I am 26 y/o and i have been diagnosed with hypogonadism...doc really doesn't know why. When I was first tested my test level was 150. Far from what it should be at my age.

the dosage given is usually a guideline... so communication with your doctor needs to include some intimate and other personal details rather than relying on low test levels - which if it is self administered may be chumped up to misuse.
Discussions on physical and sexual performance, concentration, fatigue, body fat distribution, the general list of side effects of low levels are a typical common.
At first it seemed cool, you'd watch Spike but now you find yourself addicted to Lifetime - when you know the theme song to the golden girls, you sympathize with girls on Sex in the City, and you'd rather watch the bravo channel than porn or go out and screw, something just ain't right there.
On "average" GP's hrt plans consist of one replacement and limited foresight... especially in concerns of an active lifestyle or physically demanding career and other factors outside of the limited scope of age and medical conditions.
But I've found it's far easier to be a bit more direct and take some control of the situation. How you approach that is up to you and the personality type of your doctor. For some it's as easy as saying "hey I'd like to up my dosage" and others you may need an additional referral or provide some research on the matter.
It usually requires persistence, time and patience. But overall you have to take control, grab the doc by the short and curlys and make him cough twice. Or play it off like douche commercial - you're just feeling less than fresh.
Alternatively, locating a mens health group or specialized clinic that may be covered by your insurance may be more beneficial. Specialized health is more likely to include well-rounded replacement programs - although you may get away with less.
Although outside of a referral within your medical group or insurance, portion coverage would likely be lacking.
But honesty at a 90 degree angle is probably the best way.
