I just joined and thought I would drop a line and say hi. I am 50 years old and have been training for about 6 years now on and off due to surgeries and other things. Presently on for about 3 months. I have been feeling like shit for almost 4 years now the normal shit low libido, no drive, ED, and snapping at the little woman. Well to make along story short my cousin told me to research TRT/HRT and I did and had my GP order some tests. the results are below.

I see a URO Monday 7 Jan. 2008 and my GP put me on Androgel 5g a day. this is not working I think because I do not think it is being getting through the skin. Well enough I'm glad to be here and hope to learn.


If you have some input please i need all the help I can get.

welcome...i needed double that dose to feel better...the 10g ED gel brought my total test to high 700's but also raised estradiol so I added arimidex

Welcome to the why didn't they think of this first club......same here.... well over a year i resisted depression meds....fell onto this site doing a google search...i am 55 now...tested 143....first was getting 100 mg injections every other week....then came a 209 trough test and we went to 100 mg every week.....friday i am getting more blood work with the possibility of getting a prescribed dosage of 150 mg per week....
there are great educational threads on this site....download and take your time...
Your endo will want to rule out tumors and such...SOP so don't let it worry you.....it is just so when the DEA knocks on their door for an audit their MD's will not be at risk...
good luck m8....better days are really just ahead....my wife does the stick'n....she feels the more poke'n she does the more poke'n she'll get.....

The easiest way out of the cream is to tell your Dr. that the cream won't work wtih your lifestyle. I have small girls and don't want that in my house. There are also testosterone pellets - testopellets. Might want to ask your Dr. if he knows about them. I am using them and very happy with them.

I have psoriasis so it should not be to hard to get the injections. My GP just gave me the gel because she doesn't know any better. I am sure the Urologist will put me on injections. From what I have read and researched I am hoping 125 - 150 mg a week and HCG 2 times a week.

Welcome to the world of the enlightened, your life is about to change for the better my friend. Get rid of the gel and go for the shots. I am about to turn 53 and been on HRT for a couple of years now. I have never looked so good or fvcked so much in my life as I do now (see my avitar).

By the way you dont need the HCG that often I only do it a couple of times a year when I want to see what my balls look like, size does not matter when it comes to nuts

I see the Urologist on Monday and I am going to ask for the injections once a week. I was thinking with my test results that 100-150mg of test cyp would be nice. I mite just ask for the 100mg and see how that works for me. I like my nuts and would like to see them more than a couple times a year :-) The wife likes them also. So how much HCG would I need to keep on seeing them.

Dont worry about asking for a specific amount. The doc usually has an amount they will prescribe after reviewing your blood test. Most likely you will get 100mg as that seems to be the max I have seen given without any major deficiencies. I like the injections even at a level of only 100mg per week. I use to take more, but it is nice to have a bottle with my name on it. Of course you may find a doc who will give you much more, but from my experience with regular docs not catering to any bodybuilding patients, 100mg / wk was all I could get myself. Also, after a few months you can get bloodwork again and discuss whether more is needed or wanted. Good luck.

Your right, and me asking for an amount mite look bad. I do have a question I am using 5g of Androgel how much of that is being converted or getting in my system as Testosterone ?

I ask because I really don't feel a difference after 10 days. Well maybe for an hour a little more get up go.
