Anyone get hot while using Sust 250 or gel?

Hey Folks,

I know my question is going to prompt the resident joksters to start poppin off, so fire away and let's get that out of the way LOL. Seriously, I've been using Sust 250 (preload) once per week and Testim gel once a day (one 50 mg. tube) for about two weeks now. We started Winter Intercession at the college and I have a basketball class in the morning, lift for an hour and a half at noon, and coach baseball from 1:30 until 5:00. It seems like I break a good sweat during the a.m. bball class and I never stop sweating until I get home at night. The problem is I feel incredibly hot at night and can't seem to cool off. I even sleep with the window open when it gets down to 30 degrees. The Mrs. thinks I'm crazy or having hot flashes (Heck, I might be). I'm making sure I hydrate all day but I can't seem to cool off when the day's done.
Now it's only been two weeks and I'm grateful that I'm able to get off my a** and be active again (which wasn't the case a month ago), just wondering if anyone here has experienced the same thing?
BTW- I live in SOCAL, so I don't blame any of you folks from the east coast for thinking I'm whining about the 30 degrees at night LOL

Yep I get hot as well. I notice it at night in bed and in the morning when I eat my oatmeal. Plus, I seem to sweat more at the gym now than I used to.

Maybe the sweating more is from retaining water. Not sure about being hot does Sust increase metabalisym?

usually its from estrogen from what I've seen.

I've been taking 100 mg. of zinc since starting therapy, I'm really trying to be conservative as I go about this. I read during my research that 80-100 mg.s of zinc helps to keep test from converting to est. Did I read this right? All responses welcome.

Also, it's not really the sweating that bothers me, it's more the hot feeling at night when I'm not active. It's reminds me of back in the 80's when we would take massive dosages of niacin to cut up.

whenever im on any form of test i get extremly hot and very itchy sometimes unbearable but i dont sweat like that

i'm 55...test @ 143...began shots @ 100 every other week....that put me @ 209 for the "trough" test...so then 100 mg every week....by Thursday night the toss and turn would start...then the sweats...most of the time at night...or any exertion on Thursday afternoon or Friday would just result in heavy perspiration (shots are Saturday morning)....i suspect the lowering of test results in the hot flash and hi body temp.....now i am at 150 per week and hot flash and sweats have stopped....point is...maybe you need a tad more m8.

Thanks Whiteowl! I'm thinking that at 45 years old, I don't want to go all crazy with this. But the gel sucks, period. I talked to JPK here and he's running Test ent once per week and rubbing on the gel on the weekend. If you've ever used that damn stuff, you work up a pretty good lather just trying to get the stuff rubbed in..ha.. not to mention trying to cool off enough for the stuff to dry. I don't know, I'm thinking of stopping the gel and just shooting Sust 250 once a week. Whaddya think? Maybe I'm going the wrong way by lowering the test I take per week. The only reason I chose the Sust 250 is because I live next to the Mexico border and it's so readily available at most pharmacies. Even when I write down Testosterone Enthanate, they always come back with the Sust and Deca . My spanish isn't good enough to argue or try to explain myself, i just say no to the Deca and take the Sust. Also, I don't want to run aroud the city of Mexicali and get lost...LOL
I don't know, I guess it's just going to be a process.

Mate....

from what i have read enth and cyp seem to be interchangeable....except cyp seems to make the injection site a lot more sore.....not sure about sust....nice being close to the border though....check out the threads....there are docs on this site who have doen educational threads....it was the only straight talk i have received on the subject.....

my doc was opposed to the cream/gel....so i did not have to go that route.....the nurse taught my wife how to do the injections ....she was squeamish at first....then she realized the side effects she was getting out of the deal....now she looks forward to the poking...when she is gone i do the injections in my thigh....which i learned how to do on the thread on this site....

no hot flashes here either....like iron said...check that estro....i got right on arimidex shortly after starting injects because estro rose significantly....and just to clarify i use cyp and inject sites rarely to never hurt

the only thing ive found that somewhat helps is to lotion my whole body before i lift

yes...prevents gyno and other high estrogen sides....ie: hot flash,water retention, etc.

we have a wooded area as part of our property.....the recent hi winds took down several trees....i spent some time yesterday cutting them into 4 ft pieces and hiking the small diameter pieces to the house....i take back the hot flash analysis....to say my body is running redline quickly would be an understatement...and it never got above 38 yesterday..and the sweat rolled long after i stopped working.....so i guess the test does keep the body temp up there....

Wavelover: I'm 5'10" and 215 lbs. I'm not currently taking any arimidex , but am having my bloodwork done again in two weeks. We'll see what the doc thinks then.

btw: I switched from Sust 250 to 200 mg. of test e once a week and dropped the gel altogether........ guess what? No more hot feeling or excessive sweating. Looks good for the time being.
