So I went to the doc today, explained all my symptoms, what I have had done so far and that I have done some research and believe that I could have low TEST. He has given me a form to take in for my blood test with a bunch of stuff on it. I did not get time to review it with him unfortunately and I am not certain that it even covers checks for free Test etc. Here is what he marked to be tested;
TSH (I think that has to be thyroid stimulating hormone)
Total Cholesterol (91375)
Triglycerides (92350)
HDL Cholesterol (91***)
LDL Cholesterol (calculated)
Nothing else is selected but under 'Additional Tests' he has written;
CBC (I guess that is complete blood count)
BUN/CR - (at least that is what it looks like)
I am guessing that the BUN is a blood urea nitrogen (BUN) test and the CR is Creatinine. Those are waste products in the blood as far as I have read. So it seems he has not requested any checks for hormones (except t3/t4) at all. Unless the CBC covers this? does it? Any input here would be much apreciated....
