I am 44 years old. I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis five years ago. You can't tell I have MS by looking at me. My symptoms are mild and mostly internal like numbness in my hand, burning sensation in my leg, graying of my vision etc. My biggest frustration with MS is inability to maintain erections. Viagara, Cialis and Levitra have limited effect for me, kind of hit-or-miss but mosly miss. I use injections with good results (was Caverject now Edex - Edex is better). The MS messes with my hormones too, I have low thyroid and low testosterone. I have been on Androgel for a few years and it has helped me feel better especially my mood and just feeling normal day-to-day but I have felt my libido slipping especially during the past year so my uro had my levels checked again. My test level was 304 on Androgel which the doc said was normal but on the low end of normal and he had me try Testim for 2 weeks. This is essentially the same drug only stickier and smellier but the doc says most people have better absorbsion over the Androgel. Two weeks of Testim later my T level was at 217! This, the doc says is low. He has now prescribed Testosterone CYP 1ML 200MG/ML injection once a month. I keep reading that once a month is too infrequent and some people take this dosage every two weeks and think that is also too infrequent. Too many peaks and valleys. My insurance mail-in pharmacy is out of state and I have not received my medicine yet so I haven't started my injections. I would like to hear from someone who is on this and what their dosage is. I was also wondering, since I have a TON of Androgel left, if anyone has ever tried "bridging the gap" between injections with gel as the CYP wears down. . . Thanks for reading!
