Blood donating for high rbc count?

Ive been on TRT for 6 months. 150mgs a week of Enath. My Doc says my RBC is too high. Currently 57. When I started it was 47. He says if it reaches 59, hes going to take me off of it. Does blood donating help? Other than taking aspirin to thin the blood(they have those baby aspirin for heart patients, but would taking more help?) is there anything else I should take? thanks for any info. Neo,,,

I have this problem and taking asprin is not going to help it. I give blood every 3 months and this keeps it in check. Most of the time you only have to do this 2 or 3 times and it gets in check. I feel better after getting a pint taken and it helps others so to me its a good thing all around. This also happens to those on injections more than transdermals.

In fact , if you are using testosterone , even if its only due to TRT your blood probably won´t serve to donation.

Use needle and put it into vein and drop some blood to sink. Easy and It will help and you can do it in your home. Keep your hematocrite around 50

I also donate! The only thing they have asked about is. growth hormone, but no questions whatsoever about testosterone. They call me to give blood when its time for me to give again. So I'm pretty sure they haven't had a problem with it yet.

Do you give blood to lower your RPC? Any other benifits outside of that besides being a worthy cause? I might have to pick it up.

yes...men tend to hold extra(too much) iron as well and giving blood helps reduce that as well as RBC....the chart that i read says it reduces heart attack or stroke by over 50% by donating regularly

OK it may be 1 in a million but I was that 1.
Be very careful and observant when donating blood. I have only donated blood 1x in my life and I ended up getting hepatitis B.
No, there is no other way I could have gotten it and I did not realize how I got it for a LONG time after.
I finally remembered that the guy who was going around from person to person hooking us up was NOT changing his gloves. I even commented to the guy laying next to me at the time but didn't think about it anymore than that at the time.
2 weeks later I had full blown hepatitis B and nearly killed me and I was out of work for 4+ months.
