Why do people on trt usually not take HCG the week of the follow-up labs?

Why do people on trt usually not take HCG the week of the follow-up labs?

By not taking HCG the week of the labs, doesn't that give one a lower testosterone and lower e2 result than one would have otherwise had? If people do take HCG the week of the labs wouldn't that more accurately reflect their usual testosterone and e2?

If not taking HCG the week of the labs changes testosterone and e2 results, then by how much? Wouldn't one want to know what the testosterone and e2 are with HCG too?

    My protocol:
Sat: 120mg test cyp; .5 adex
    Mon: .5mg adex
Thurs: .5mg adex and 250mg HCG
    Fri: 250mg HCG

    Thanks

The question is: if one takes hcg, then why not do blood tests while taking the hcg? My doc wants me not to take the hcg the week of the blood test.

My e2 is 24 out of a range of 0-29, without taking hcg the week of the blood tests and I have e2 symptoms. That is why i take 1.5mg of adex per week.

My guess is the doctor wants to see how much testosterone your body is producing naturally while on TRT without artificially stimulating your testes with HCG.

    Crazy

My body is not producing any test without HCG. Without HCG, The only test in my body is from the test cyp, but I assume that is what you meant.

I have no idea what your doc is trying to do. Strange.

Maybe he wants to take you off HCG?

The only thing that i can imagine is that he just wants to know the #'s without hcg. But why?

Maybe it makes the levels spike? What day does he test you?

    You are probably right.

    My protocol:
Sat: 120mg test cyp; .5 adex
    Mon: .5mg adex
Thurs: .5mg adex and 250mg HCG
    Fri: 250mg HCG

I take the blood test on wednesday. He allows me to take it any day except test cyp day and the following 2 days. But I can not take hcg the week of the blood test. Therefore, I do not take hcg the thurs and fri before the blood test on wed. I do not get why.

I think some doctors believe that elevated levels are healthy, but they don't want them showing up on tests?
