Thread: I'm taking Human Growth Hormone and testosterone.

I'm taking Human Growth Hormone and testosterone.

I'm still a younger man, 48, but was diagnosed with a brain disorder a few years ago. As a result of this encephalopathy my hormones have decreased below recommended physiological levels so am being prescribed 250 mg. injections of Testosterone every 10 to 14 days and 1.5 Human Growth Hormone Sub-Cutaneous injections every evening.

Of course my health and musculature have reached pre-illness levels but I am suffering greatly from fluid retention. My doctor regularly performs the proper blood tests to be certain my kidneys, thyroid, etc...are not in danger but I don't want to talk to him about the fluid retention for fear that he might reduce my HGH dosage.

Does anyone have any advice based on personal experience that can be of help. The fluid retention is around 6 extra kilos in a week so you can imagine I don't feel quite at ease in my body.

    Thanks all in advance.

What type of test are you on?
you can ask your doctor about using an AI like arimedex to help with the water retention

I'm just finishing a cycle of an uptake inhibitor to lower my estrogen levels. I do 2 or 3 6 to 10 week cycles per year.

Memory difficulties are part of my illness but I'm fairly sure I'm given testosterone enanthate. At first an injection every two weeks but since my illness has been diagnosed as fatal both I and my doctor feel that I should live the time remaining to the fullest so he now allows me to come in as early as 10 days between injections.

    Thanks for your quick reply.

    Nothing to worry about.

Thanks to my treatments I still enjoy the two things I like most in life: I still workout almost everyday and I have sex everyday. I've had a good and interesting life and I'm not afraid to be coming to the end....it ends for everyone some day.

Stay strong and enjoy everyday you have and love those around you...life really is short.
