Looking over first blood test, miss something?
Posted here a couple of times - but have another question.
My first blood work showed high E2 at 59, but low Progesterone at 0.2L (scale 0.3 - 1.2), low total test 230 and free was 11. No SHBG test was run.
After 6 weeks of 200mg test c/week, .5 arimidex twice a week and 250iu of HCG once a week my levels on total were 1420, free was 34 and E2 was 48.
Doc said to lay off of the HCG and up the arimidex. No other values were tested.
Can anyone tell me why the Progesterone might have been low or if it is a problem? Thyroid panel was all in normal ranges.
Guess it might not be anything - I just thought it was ok since the doc never said anything about it. I thought the way progesterone goes so does E2.
Thanks

.5 adex gave you sides?
i was running .5 ED adex and didn't have any problems. this last cycle i only ran .25 though to conserve the adex i had and it seemed to work just as effective at that dose. maybe you should be using the arimidex ED just at a lower dosage so it's more contant in the blood.

Headaches and feeling run down mostly on the sides - mine is .5 caps - so i can't split it up.

hmm, i've never had those sides with it.
each person is different. could also be something else like stress, dehydration, or something environmental

Maybe I should have tried to get the progesterone up before starting trt? It seems as though this is why my E2 numbers might have been high to start with.

my guess is your E2 is high because you're shooting 200mg/week and your TT was 1420. your elevated E2 means your body is trying to dump the excess T. your HCG dose is good, you should try reducing your T dose first. do this in small increments though (i.e. 20mg/week) down to something like 160mg/week and wait for about a month to see what your number are.
your body wants homeostasis and when something is too high or too low it will do it's best to regulate it like a thermostat in your house.

I understand what you are saying. But if my levels started at E2 59 (high)and Progesterone 0.2 (low) then I was upside down to begin with and my Doc should have been looking at that I think - no big deal now I'll just wait and get it checked again.
If it is still low and E2 high then what?

try this protocol:
sun - 250IU HCG
mon - .5 mg adex & 80mg TC (morning shot)
wed - 250IU HCG
thu - .5 mg adex & 80mg TC (evening shot)
the more frequent TC shots will help your E2 issue and the extra HCG might boost your progesterone.
