Male, 30 with low T and Doctor ignored

A few weeks back I had a blood test for a number of standard tests, all were fine except the testosterone which came back as 11 (I assume free test here). Now the female Doctors parameters said 8-30 so it was within the acceptable boundaries and simply shrugged her shoulders. I did some research on an aussie site and they said 8-15 may also need treatment in some cases.

Now I started doing more reading and my symptoms seem to fit exactly with low test levels and even though I am so young. I suffer from ZERO sex drive, constant tiredness, irritability and a general depressed/down/cynical feeling all the time. The low sex drive looking back has always been the case even back to my early 20's.

Are my levels low enough for treatment? How do I go about speaking to a specialist if my Doc says its fine? Should I speak to a male Doc?

I want to do something about it but not sure who to approach or what to do?

    Any ideas?

Found endocrinologist and do full blood test. After this you will know more. Treatment depend on protocol used in your country.

In my country they will put you on Androgel ed 1g, or Undestor 160-240mg ED, Sustanon 250mg E3W (yes each 3th week... horrible!) or Nebido 1000mg each 3 months. My country is in cave-man age if you mention HRT lol!

I might suggest you find a D.O. Get a full male hormone panel blood work. With out a scale its imposible to tell where you stand. Also if your E2 is high, it will have the same symptems your claming now.. Good luck

all above is good advice....get second/more opinions...the doctors work for you
theres guys here younger than you on TRT....no reason you should go on with those symptoms...in todays age of medicine
    male docs are generally best

it's funny how you see so many comments about guys being "too young" for TRT but i have yet to see a comment saying someone is "too old" for TRT.

    Thanks for the advice ppl.

My problem is normally you need a Doc to refer you to a specialist so I'll do some more research and see if I can email an endocrinologist directly and see what they say.

I didn't think my GP would be the best person to fully understand all the results anyway.

If you can find a compounding pharmacy in your area ask them for a referal to an HRT doctor.

i've heard of it in 100mg/ml but i think most guys on here use 200mg/ml. mine's compounded so it's a little more - 205mg/ml

100mg/mi is the usual starting dose. Then rechecked in 6 weeks to adjust dosage. Don't want to run for the risk of the dreaded rise of E2.

no, i meant the concentration of Test Cyp. it can be anywhere from 100mg/ml to 250mg/ml. (1ml = 1cc)

the only difference is how much volume you have to inject to get the same amount of T.

for example, if you have 100mg/ml that means you have to inject 1cc to get 100mg. if you have 200mg/ml the you have to inject .5cc to get 100mg
