Can I continue trt during Surgery ????

Hey I am cruising on 125 ml test a week for trt . but on my own.

I have a c5 c7 cervicle rupture that will require surgery. My neurosurgeon said i need to stop taking supplements, any type of anti infammatory, exotic herbs, etc. before the surgery . Has anybody had surgery and stayed on TRT is there any risk . please chime in if you would be so kind

    thanks James

you would be best just to tell your neurosurgeon that you are on TRT and see what he says. not worth risking your health.

I wouldn't think trt would hurt during surgery as long as your blood pressure and RBC is ok, but I am NO doctor so I would just fess up and ask him.

I've had two surgeries while on test and eq, I never told the docs but I'm sure they knew, they were testing my blood three times a day. Better to tell your docs though, you never know how something is going to interfere.

I think you are fine, but I would ask the doc. They usually ask you what you are taking before surgery.

I had surgery about 7 months ago and they asked
as part of the pre-surg check up. I wasn't at the time.
I think it effects bleeding some how. Lack of coagulation
    or something like that.

I think high red blood count issues might be a reason to go off of TRT, ask your doc.

You'd be stupid not to discuss this with your doc.
