    Why does my doctor test HCG?

    On my last bloodtest my doctor took HCG . Havent got the results back yet. Why does my doctor test my HCG level? Shouldnt he be testing LH ?

    Sorry for spamming the forum with questions but i have tried search and google.

    Im male, 30 years.

    It is used as a tumor marker for different types of cancer including testicular cancer.
