    Testim or Androgel

I have a choice to make, it can either be 100mg of Testim or Androgel as perscribed. Which should I go with and also what could I expect to start feeling once this stuff gets into me?

whichever your insurance covers the best imo....as they are similar almost to same...

if no ins. then whichever is least expensive...guess that was common sense

Androgel is what it turned out to be

I was given a script for Andogel dosed at 2.5g pack ED. From what I read, 5.0g ED is the normal, but I think this is just my Dr. just being over cautious.

On the flip side I was given enough to either run 5.0 g ED for the whole month or 7.5g for 21 days. I'll give it some time to see how it works.

Worst case I'll just bump up the dose a little if I don't feel anything. At least I have a refill on this!

I used androgel for about 6 weeks before converting to injections of test cyp.
I felt that it helped a little, but I told the doc that it was just too expensive.
With my insurance, it was still gonna be $190 each month.
My test cyp cost $12, and thats for 20 weeks.

I used Androderm for a couple of years and what a waste of time it was. Test levels all over the place, all the messy pads and or creams, Yuk. With my insurance my Androderm was very expensive too, no generics. Have your doctor switch you to injectables. It's cheaper and easier.

I pay quite a bit into my medical plan so at least their taking care of me with a co-pay at 25.00. Like you I'm going to give it 6 weeks and see what happens. Most guys say the same thing, it provides "some" relief from what I'm told but nothing like 200mg of Test-C EW provides. Oh well, I have an appointment with an Endo who told me over the phone that they do HRT / TRT so at least there's no BS.

Come November if I don't feel different, I'm going to ask for shots. Every Dr is different and being that I just started, I have to establish a history that I tried Androgel first.

I got prescribed Testim briefly, it was $200/month...and it didn't do a damn thing. I wouldn't bother with either of them.

    34 (soon to be 35)
    5'10"
    200 lbs

...and have every symptom in the book of low test. Never did a cycle in my life, just shitty genetics in my family.

    Normal free test range for a 30-35 yr old male is 60 - 125 pg/ml.....I was 49.

They lab reports are quite .

I can either do it the correct way or the "other" way.

Right now I'm trying to do it the correct way by seeking help from doctors. If going through the proper protocols and due process fail because they feel it's "ok to feel twice your age and have all the ailments that go along with it", then I'll do it the other way.

Just be aware your doctors can prescribe you things other than topical gels and creams.

Do what your Doc says for now. You could crash with 2.5 and your levels might be lower than where you started. He will bump the dose up and then you can give him every reason for test c - kids, wife, etc. But you bump your dose on your own and come in at a respectable t level, then the doc will assume you reached that on 2.5. Sounds like you have found a doc that might listen - so don't screw that up! You will always have your lab results in hand to show another doc if you need to.

THIS!!! I was on 10mg/day of Androgel and although I did feel a bit of a difference, I knew the next step would be test inj, so I downplayed the andro-effect abit and even "helped" to insure my test was still low when they blood tested w/ androgel..Voila! 200mg Test Cyp/week!

    NOTHING like it!! Good luck!

There you go man...that gel shit is a waste of time and money. I really think doctors just push it for a kick-back.
