is it possible to have children on hrt?
I was just wondering I had heard different things I heard hcg will make you able to have children even if you are on hrt for life, but I also read that doctors don't like to prescribe testosterone to patients that have hypogonadism because of the fertility issue.
It just puts me in a tough place, because without my testosterone I feel horrible, but family comes first and I want to have more kids.
Have any of you or anyone you know concieved children during hrt?

Combo of HCG and HMG is best for maintaining fertility while on cycle or TRT.
Or just HMG/HCG ran alone not cycling has been shown to increase male fertility.

thanks for the reply, I had been doing some alot of research, and it seems like two of the more known hrt specialist suggest just what you stated, that they will have there patients run a low dose of hcg two days per week all of the time, rather than large doses every few months.
So if I was to blast at higher doses and then go back to hrt dose with hcg running all the time does that lower our chances of concieving? Because i figure if I have to be on it the rest of my life I may as well run moderate amounts at times to get the positive effects of test.

It may lower your chances of conceiving when your Testosterone is to high. Everything needs to be at a certain balance for maximum fertility. I would run HCG /HMG all the time while trying to concieve...
You may not be able to conceive by just running HCG and HMG though. You may have to stop your TRT or change your therapy somehow. I would talk to a fertility specialist and/or a HRT specialist. Get several opinions...

man thanks alot you have helped a ton,
so say the wife and I want to start trying in 4 months if I was to run say 400 mills per week of test for 3 months just so I can start to feel good again and hopefully put on some good mass,I am currently 81 ng total test two weeks post shot blood draw. What that hurt my chances? If at that time I dropped my dose of test for hrt or completly go off test and just run hcg with clomid or something. Or does running test even at 400 mills completly hurt my chances to have a child? Also do you know of any good hrt specialists? from what ive read they say endos are kinda like docs when it comes to hrt, so the specialist would actually be better.

Yeah talk to a endo or or a HRT doc. I believe you will need both HMG and HCG to improve your chances while running TRT.
Anything over normal test will probably effect fertility... A good Endo or HRT doc can probably give you more complete info.

This is how I got started on TRT. I've always struggled with feelings of depression, fatigue, etc. My primary care Dr. referred me to Endo. From there they did blood work and took a sperm sample. I had low testosterone and a low sperm count. I've been with the same women for 7 years and nada.
After three weeks on HCG we conceived our first child. I've been on TRT ever since and my Dr. tells me that when were ready to have our 2nd child that they will pull me off the TRT and start HCG again.

Why not?
Run Clomid for a while, as if you are running a PCT, to get your sperm counnt very high, and store sperm at a Cryo-Lab?
It cost me about 360$ at first, and 44$ monthly to keep mine stored. I got 9 vails if I ever need it again.
That way, even if the TRT makes you perma-sterile, you got sperm frozen already.
So you and your wife have some options then.

do u know if clomid increases sperm(fertile) as well as total semen and would it matter if one has been on trt for 4 years without any hcg /clomid,etc....also any advantage to taking clomid and hcg and is clomid better than hcg for what you mentioned..thanks

Yeah, I agree about getting first and worrying later...but then again, I'd like to know what I'm getting myself into before I commit myself. This is much more a gamble for me than anything on the PC side.
