Too young for low testosterone
Hello everyone!
I've been following this forum for quite a long time, looking for information on "repearing" my hormone levels...
This is the story:
I'm 19 years old male, have bodybuilding since my 15th birthday (seriously the last 3 years). By saying seriously, I mean following a precise diet plan everyday (every cal counted, smart supplement usage, following latest research on nutrition ... etc.), not missing a single workout session... I competed three times on not-tested shows and although I'm all-natural (no steroid or oder drug use history) I beat some users. (It's been more than a year from my last serious dieting.)
All this time I considered myself being too young and "in the years when you have plenty of own testosterone to
build muscle".
Recently I decided to get done my bloodwork. The results were shocking:
Estradiol: 42 pg/mL (reference: 7,63-42,59)
LH: 1,7 mIU/mL (reference: 1,7-8,6)
Total Testosterone: 2,2 ng/ml (ECL metod) (reference: 2,8-8,0)
Free Testosterone: 9,3 pg/ml (RIA metod) (reference: 5,50-27,98)
I mean, what the...?!
The results also made me think of my sex drive, mood etc. in past years and I found out that all of the above have been pretty low ever since I remember (except at around 13 years, when I was in a "high puberty" ).
I'm looking for an answer what is going on in my body and WHY? What are the possible reasons and the best solutions?

welcome, the possible reasons and solutions should come from your doctor.

Well, my doctor didn't say anything because I did a private check and didn't expect results like these. In my country is a little bit different public health system than in the States and my family doctor may or may not (due to my young age and the fact that the results are borderline) advise me to get an endocrinologist which (I suppose) would give me nothing and say to wait a little bit (you know, it may repear by itself ) or MAYBE put me on some kind an andro gel (which would elevate my testo levels, but also boost my estrogen through the roof).
@Dont wanna be old: I don't think so. I think once I read something about corelation between high E2 and 5-alpha-reductase being very active in converting T to DHT (also my family history is not anything more promising ).

Sorry friend. I was trying to be positive . Only thing that came to mind .
I think I would have made some better decisions in my past if my testosterone wasn't elevated .
Good luck , Hope you find some answers .

What time of the day did you have blood work done? I would have blood work done within 1 hour of waking. That is when your testosterone is the highest! Also what kind of a diet are you on now? If your diet is to restricting that alone can lower your testosterone level. Make sure you are eating the correct amount of good fats. Best of luck!

Jim, I had it done aprox. one and a half hour after waking up. As I said, my diet is in order - I'm in caloric suficit with around 70 g of good fats a day (10 g of fish oil every day, others from whole eggs and nuts). I'm at ~14% bf.
Stevey, Stress level is not generaly high (although I have few days a month when I'm totaly stressed, but I think this doesn't affect my testo levels too much since it's not chronically).
I have sleeping problems for allmost whole life (sometimes I can't fall asleep, sometimes I'm extremely sleepy in the afternoon, sometimes I sleep 12 hours a day (weekends) and sometimes only 6...). I think this is from not going to bed every day at the same time, but do you think this can have such an enormous effect on my hormone levels - at my age testo should be almost FIVE TIMES BIGGER.?
Thanks!

You must go to your doctor. period. your values are too low for your age and could lead to hypogonadism later.
LH and FSH values are not reliable (they vary too much within the day, when i went to my doctor he said i would literelly have to get tested every 15 minutes for a whole day to have reliable LH values).
However, Testo is very low and free test as well.

How Clean are you eating?
Lost of the younger guys will have symptoms of Low T if they are over worked, too little sleep, and not eating enough fats or carbs.
Often they will be eating too clean, and dropping their natty T production.
