i read posts on here that its not a great idea...
what are youre stats, meds youre on already, what kind of doc?
I have "fat" friends that are doing a HCG weigh loss program. I know a girl who lost 50 - 60 lbs. recently doing it.
I don't know anything about it really, other than the fact that they take HCG injections and have a strict diet. They "cycle" going on and off every several weeks.
Most people do it through a doctor, although my friend did it on her own with HCG she purchased from India (I've been told that most of the HCG supply is manufactured there).
google HCG diet.
It is based on a extremely low cal, very strict diet ran for short periods. Very strict as in you cannot even use certain soaps, make up, or lotions. But people have been known to lose 1-3lbs a day for 20-30days.
I am curious if HCG is part of the success on "The Biggest Loser"
I knew an obese lady that was doing that and it really helped her shed the fat.
wont going on a too low calorie diet slow metablolism and enable your body to store fat easier when you resume normal diet
I am not a fan of this, but if you do it make sure you have an AI on hand to deal with estro issues and I would also take a serm to keep your body from getting desensitized and totally shutting down production of LH.
well my stats aren't great...
6'1
300 pounds
20%bf
I'm also a classic case of metabolic syndrome..
my test was low 200's prior to starting Test C a month ago..
estrogen was also high (280 was the number but don't remember the scale)
I'm also taking metaformin for hypoglycemia .. and about 6 other supplements that the doc has me taking....
that seems like a shit load of hcg every 3 days.
4000iu Vitamin D
25mg DHEA
1000mg Fish oil
1500mg Calcium
81mg aspirin
500mg Metaformin (hypoglycemia)
20mg lipitor
200 mg of Test C every week
3300iu of HCG every 3 days.
they say a 500 cal a day diet along wit hcg
I did a doctor prescribed run of HCG at 1,000IU for 10 days. I was at 12.5%BF already, so mine was prescribed for HRT purposes only. With that said, after doing a lot of additional research, I will not go that route again, and I would suggest that you avoid it as well. In my case, something in the range of 250IU a few times a week is a safer bet. That's a lot of HCG, so just keep in mind there is potential things that could go wrong.
Personally, I think you'll achieve your goals just fine with a lot of cardio, good diet, and some Explode.
Good luck!
It's absolute horseshit from everything I know about it. I've got a buddy who's wife has done it for a few cycles. Yeah, she lost some weight but the extremely restrictive diet is 500 calories a DAY. Not a meal -- a DAY. I know the doc who wrote her the script for this stuff (mutual friend of both of us) and he's an absolute snake. This program is all about the profit they make by putting patients on the cycle, not the health of the patient. I'm not a guy who believes MDs are evil profiteers -- most all of them are doing outstanding work -- but this guy in particular is just getting people on the program for the bucks he makes because there is no medical evidence that the program is healthy or even beneficial for weight loss.
This site summarizes the pros/cons (mostly cons) rather succinctly:
http://www.dietsinreview.com/diet_co...r-weight-loss/
This quote from the site pretty much sums it up:
"There is no substantial evidence that it increases weight loss beyond that resulting from caloric restriction, that it causes a more attractive or ‘normal’ distribution of fat, or that it decreases the hunger and discomfort associated with calorie-restricted diets.”
Don't throw away your money on this program.

yup there doing it here and just doing it for the money, charge 15 dollars a shot and have them come in 3 times a week for 250iu each shot, crazy mark up, you can get 5000iu for 15 dollars lol
Thanks for the spam. While you're shilling for the HCG diet why don't disclose for the rest of us how much muscle mass you lost while on that extremely calorie restricted diet. Perhaps you'd care to tell us about the fatigue and dips of energy you experienced? Or, maybe you can tell us how much money you're making per sale of this snake oil bullshit? Yeah...that would be a good start.
For anyone considering trying this scam, do yourself a favor and just go on a 500 calories a day diet and skip the hCG. You'll get the same results but your wallet will weigh a lot more. Or at the very least, find your own source for the hCG and don't pay the dry-anal-rape prices these scammers charge for their product.
Agree with Ed ^^^ Por favor, no mas spam!
or i could just talk about how it was total shit because it didn't do anything for me... other than make me have really big nuts and spend tons of money on overdosing HCG...
spam y huevos
If you are seriously overweight, hCG may just be what you're looking for. hCG Dieters lose an average of 1 to 3 lbs per day while modifying their metabolism and eating habits for long term results.
No, it doesn't. There is zero evidence of the "metabolism boosting" claims the docs hawking this stuff are making. You will not sustain a 500 calorie a day diet, so there is no "learning to eat" benefit, either. There is no long term 500 calorie a day diet that is healthy and sustainable.
Will you lose weight? Sure. I'm not disputing the weight loss. I could stuff you in a clown suit and feed you a dozen Twinkies each day and you'd lose weight, too. That doesn't mean it's healthy, rational, or practical.
THE HCG DIET IS A BALD FACED MONEY MAKER FOR THE DOCS WHO ARE SELLING IT.
That's it. No candy coating. No bullshit. It's a fraud perpetuated by those who are benefiting from the sale of the hCG.
New guy here but I have spoken to several doc's about HCG.
One thing that has not been mentioned is that while you are on a HCG cycle is that you can not exercise. Yeah you can do mild stuff like walking but forget about going to the gym and doing some real cardio and free weights. I don't think the HcG does much. Anyone who is only taking in 500 calories a day will lose weight and fast regardless of the HCG.
i got a new diet pill....its a low dose aspirin a day...take with one full glass of water after breakfast....eat 500 calories a day...BAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! INSTANT SKINNY!!!!!!!!!! OH, STILL WORKS IF YOUR ALLERGIC TO ASPIRIN!!!!!!! BUT U GOTTA DRINK THE WATER!!!!!!!!!!!!

i got a better diet...
you eat all you want.. then puke it up... works like a charm...
My doc has me on hcg post cycle therapy. My bodyfat is definately decreasing & my abs are really starting to pop, but I'm also working out alot, losing excess water from finishing the test cycle, & utilizing the strongest diet I've had in my life. So I'm not sure if its working.
