I have a bottle of HCG. I just mixed it with the bac water. All it says on the bottle is 10,000 USP units. How am I supposed to know what 500 mg is from that?

You should be measuring in "IU" or International Units, not mg. How much bac water did you add to the HCG?
I mix (reconstitute) 10ml of bac water (usually 2ml first, mix it by gently rolling the vial between fingers, then add the additional 8ml). Then, it's pretty easy to calculate from there. 10ml = 10,000iu of HCG. 1ml or call it 1cc = 1,000iu. So, if your script calls for 500iu, you would draw 1/2cc or .500 on your insulin syringe. I believe they're 30g for insulin.
Make sure you keep it in the fridge after mixing!! Usually good for 60 days, so keep that in mind too.
If you have more questions concerning injecting or anything else, let me know.
I understand why most of you guys suggest to mix HCG this way is because it makes it easy to measure But doesnt that seem like a lot of fluid to be injecting sub q? It seems like it would be easier to just add 2 cc of water and on your slin needle pull it back to the ten for 500 iu and that would be lots less fluid to inject?
Jim, definitely get your point, and some of it might just depend on the actual dosage needed. In my case, I take 250iu, so 1/4cc goes just fine without too much water (IMO). If someone doing someone higher doses wants less fluid, then it's just a case of some simple math as you've demonstrated.
