    Question prescription testosterone

I have just a simple question.I used to lift hardcore around 10 yrs ago,but never used steroids . things have happened in my life that has caused me to quit. i lost 30 pounds, and have been in a deep depression 4 years. my doc. done some blood work and it turns out that my testosterone level is around 184,and im only 30 yrs old. question 1- what would cause my testosterone to stop production? and #2- what type of testosterone would he put me on to raise the level back up. he said it would be two injections a week for the first month, then 1 a week for the second month, then 2 a month thereafter the rest of my life. will theses injections be beneficial to help produce mass, stength, increased appetite, basically, how beneficial will it be to start lifting again with the injections,vs no injections at all? thank you for your insight.

The boys just get lazy or the wiring carrying the signal to the boys has come loose so they think everything is fine and don't produce. 10 to 1 says your Dr tried cramming anti-depressants down your throat for at least the last two years instead of checking your test levels. The injections will make you feel just like you did before your boys decided to just hang around and do nothing. He should be sending you to an endocrinologist to make sure that there is nothing wrong with the pituitary gland...and then they will do peak and trough blood tests (right after an injection and just before you are due another) to check your test levels. Then they dial you in and you will only go back for annual blood tests. It'll take about a month for the injections to really kick in and then you will find yourself ...well, being yourself again so yes...you will find your way back to the weight room and the clanging will stir your soul. Go to the Steroids Forum and check out the educational threads. It'll give you the longer detailed version of all you need to know. Welcome back to the living mate.

ONE blood work isnt enough to DETERMINE...but enough to make u go hmmmmmm....

you should be doing everything you can diet/exercise to maintain your health and re test a couple times...i you continue to show these levels and cant achieve positive results and/or suffer other symptoms of lowT then i would recommend trt

Hey guys I'm new to this site. I have a similar situation. I'm in my mid 30's. Test level at 198. Not sure what free test was but it was low enough to concern my doc. He's going to prescribe androgel after a check of my prostate. Anyone have any experience with the gel or the patch? Should I try and push for the injections first or give the gel a try.
I haven't been to the gym in about two years but got excited when I could get my hands on "legal steroids ". Should I expect any kind of dramatic gains with hte gel? Thanks in advance!

Shots are more effective and I have had both. The max dose of Androgel (10grams) only raised my test levels to 236 from 125. If you have a choice go with the shots, get a full blood work done and use the search feature on this site for more info.

As for gains, I have gained 15 pounds of muscle in 7 months. Alot is muscle memory as I took 2 years off also from the gym, but the extra test did help.

Thanx talstar. I read some of the posts on the creams and the patches. Looks like most people don't like them. I get the feeling that's because of a past history of aas use. I never used the stuff except for a cycle of andro about 8 years ago with no pct. Maybe they're used to more potent stuff ? Or is it that the gels and creams are just too mild. Comments anyone?

Not to hijack the post but I am on gel now for about 1 month but finally convinced my doc to see a urologist(sp) which I talked to briefy and sounds like injections will be no problem since my number is 70 very low even for 48 years old, but my question is once the start the testo. shots how long are you on them...for life.. 6 months and can you supplement them with another drug while getting the script testo to enhance?
    thanks

Sounds like he will use test enthanate. Do your research and try to convince him to use test cypionate instead. IMOP.

You do need to exercise and diet to get your body in shape. IMOP with your history starting the therapy first will really help you have the energy and motivation to make the necesssary changes. (one of a few times i disagree with jpkman)

Please find out the strength of the doses. Without that info it is hard to answer some of concerns. Don't hesistate to call and ask for and outline of which drug, the strength, and shot schedule. Tell them it is your body so you really want to educate yourself about what is happening.

You can only absorb so much test in the gels which makes them milder than the shots.

I ask this because my work schedule changes every week.... I work early hours then I work nites... any suggestions?

Start a thread of your own and I'm sure you'll get some answers.

Durak, I think that your info on Test Cyp and Test E is incorrect they are very similar esters. I believe you meant to say prop as it is a short ester
