HCG Headaches

I am on week three of starting TRT.... I have noticed that following the HCG shots (500 iu... and going down to 250 next week) I have days of just brutal headaches.....

Has anyone expierenced this? Maybe it will stop once I go down to 250 it will stop.....but man my expierence with TRT so far has been horrible... going on a month now and don't feel better at all thanks to these headaches.

Hmmm, no headaches here. I'm now taking 250iu x 3/wk and all is well. Little acne on my sides, but headaches haven't been the issue. Are you taking a AI? Think I've read where some people taking an AI had those sides.

I should have been more specific. I experience this a little more in the area of the obliques. Just seems to be an area that I'm prone for some acne, and I notice it more with HCG.

I am taking 200 test cyp once a week, a anti-E pill three times a week and then the HCG twice a week 500 iu..... I am going to back it down to 250 and see if that helps.

I a ready to start feeling better from the TRT... I see where so many people have had great results and so far mine have either been bade or non-existent.

Have you ran recent BW? If so, is there anything off kilter? What is the Anti-E pill that you're taking, and how many mg?

thats odd.. i was taking 3300iu every 3 days for a few weeks and i didn't get headaches.. just really big balls .. seriously though i've not had that effect at all

Here is the deal..... the doc I am dealing with is very agrressive and I understand why...my test, free test were low and my estrogen was very high (in the 60's).. So he wanted to take the first two weeks and really come out strong. So I started on 200 test cyp a week... the first shot of HCG was 1000 and it knocked me on my ass for about three days... so lowered it down to 500 for the next dose four days later and it wasn't bad, then his last shot at 500 iu has knocked me on my ass again.

The headached are there when I wake up and are constant al day.. right in front of the head an behind the eyes.

I am taking 1.5mg of Anti-E every day for the first two weeks then move down to just a few times a week... started having some sweating so backed off a few days and know will go to using the anti-e a few times a week.

I get why the doc wanted to come out strong to really knock the estrogen down, but man I have been on this protocol going on for a month and up til now have seen ZERO positive affect at all.

Not sure if you were asking me about blood pressure but it is fine.. normal.

My E2 jumped 30 points when I started HCG therapy at 250iu. You say you understand why your doctor "is very aggressive". Why? 1.5mg of Arimidex ED is ridiculous IMO. Please explain the aggressive protocol of your doctor.

I would dare to say 1.5mg daily is very unhealthy. In fact, that is probably causing headaches.

I might have misspoken... the 1.5mg was only the first week... now it is down to 3 times a week... is that still too high? Will have lab tests in a few weeks so I can see where all the levels are at.

i am pretty sure that it isn't the antiE that is causing the headaches... the headaches started the day after a HCG shot and was days away from the last antiE pill

there is always the possibility that the headaches have nothing to do with any of this and could sinus headaches.. though i never have those.... but this time of the year in Fla. everyone has sinus problems... All I know is nothing i am taking is cutting the headaches and it is there every morning when I wake up...

you should do 1.5mg a week MAX, but more like .25 eod. I am surprised you are not having lots of other side effects.

As it turns out it seems that my issues may not have been HCG afterall... though i am in full agreement now with the advice I have gotten here that the DOC had me on too aggressive levels of HCG and anti-E... so I am taking steps to drop both of those down.

I think this is what most have advised.

My headaches were sinus problems that I have never had before so I really didn't know what it was.

So fighting the after affects of that....Which is a bitch because I am entering my 4th week of 200mg of test a week and haven't felt one single bit better since I have started.... so I am just assuming that this sinus/cold issue is going to override everything...

I will stay the course and see what happens. Will have new labs done in a week or so to see what my levels are and what needs to be tweaked.

Yea see what you are you saying but actually the sinus thing has happened before... meaning these kind of headaches... but the last few times I had them over the past few years the Doc said they were probably just "cluster" headaches.... so I have had this before (been a while) and now the doc is telling me he believes it to be sinus issues...

As far as the HCG is concerend and why I thought it was that was the Doc had my first two shots at really high levels to jumpstart everything and then go down to normal level (250x3)... when I did that first big dose it knocked me on my ass for about three days. I call the Doc and he says "oh yea it will do that..." Really nice guy, willing to scribe whatever I want, but that pissed me off.

As far as the anti E is concerned... he had me on high doses on that has well to start as my estrogen level was really high on my labs.... I didn't have any bad affects on that at all... but now have brought it down to 1.5mg for the week. Problem i that the pills or capsules are 1.5 each... so I am only taking 1 a week.

Is that a problem or as long as I get the 1.5 a week it doesn't matter????

If your levels are real high you may need more. But what happens when they bottom out and you keep taking a large dose? The answer to your question is dependent on blood tests. However, if you need large doses of arimidex to keep the e down, I would suggest moving to aromasin.

Based on my initial labs, he had HCG doses high and anti E high for the first two weeks, then brougt everything down to what I think is normal leves.

new labs are coming in a few week so we will see where everything is at. Like I said as of now, the test may a well be water I am shooting in my ass, cause I get nothing out of it... granted only going into my fourth week.

He wanted to start me at 400mg a week and I balked at that and wanted to be a little more conservative until I got some new labs in. He might have been right in the first place. Wish I had been as conservative on the beginning HCG doses... but lessn learned.
