Lump in nipple, estrogen levels normal. ???

Im on TRT at a dose of 100mg wk, after about 4weeks or so I started developing a lump in my nipple. Its sensitive and sore if i touch, or push on it. So i got my labs done last week and my estrodial senstive was 21, which im told is perfect. My DHT was alittle high at 130. So what caused the lump? my DHT? and more importantly how do i fix this problem, what should i suggest to my Doc for him to prescribe?

first... get some nolva @ 40mg a day to start ...... Now assess your situation.... is your lump getting worse? when did you first notice the lump and tenderness? Did you start/stop, increase/decrease any serms or AI's at any point in time during these prior 4 weeks....?

It seems to be about the same, about 3 weeks in I noticed some sensitivity to my nipples. Then at about 4-5wks in I notices the lump. My dr didnt prescribe any anti e's when he started me on TRT, just 100mg test cyp ew. He said he wanted to see what my labs were like after 6wks on the test to see how my estrogen was and if i needed an anti e. Now after my recent labs as i mentioned above He mentioned Estrofactors or CD estrodim to help metabolize estrogen better or saw palmetto to lower DHT or start low dose progesterone topically(5mg) daily.

I repeat do not touch saw palmetto or finasteride or any dht reducing compounds... this is not your problem.... you will **** up your lipids and **** up the hormones in your body, you will lose your sex drive and grow bigger tits... leave your dht alone, dht is an antagonist to estrogen... the lump/gyno is estrogen related... could be a prolactin issue as well (but estrogen is needed for a prolactin problem as well)

at this point.. get on Nolvadex asap (even go as high as 60mg/day)... if you cant get nolva then get clomid..... also get on arimidex @ .5mg eod or e3d or aromasin @ 12.5 mg ed/eod to start.....

you need to block the estro from attaching to the receptors in your chest asap... get on nolva asap......

You cant base everything off of blood work and labs... Just because your e2 levels appear to be in check doesnt mean that its the optimal or appropriate levels for your body... example is the TSH for thyroid testing.. many people have TSH values well within range but yet have hypo or hyper symptoms/problems.... if you have a definate lump that is tender to touch then that should be enough to convince your doc.... also it could be a cyst or something like that as well...

You do not need to be on a Serm and an AI. Since you have a clear case of gyno and your estro levels are not to high get on Nolva.

I wouldn't say typically, but you might get it. I wouldn't wait around if you can't see the doc right away. Get some from somewhere. I think AR-R has it.

Ok here is my update from my Dr., He doest want to give me Nolvadex because he said it has a high side effect profile in men. He wants to do Arimidex 0.5mg 2 times a week with Calium D gluterate and follow up Estradiol in 6 weeks. He also wants to start me on Saw palmetto. What do you guys think of this? suggestions, comments? thanks

Nolva would help keep your gyno from worsening until the adex will kick in to lower total estrogen in the body...

Second, Why are you using SAW Palmetto...? The only thing your going to see happening is your penis stop working...... Saw palmetto works exactly like finasteride/dutatsteride.. It reduces dht ......... dht helps keeps estrogen in check and if your lump is gyno "estrogen related" then your only gonna make the problem worse....

What the hell kind of doctor are you seeing cuz he sure as hell doesnt sound like he knows what he is doing.....

He is a wellness/anti aging doctor. I think he likes to sugguest herbal supplements before any prescription based medication. Im not taking the saw palmetto, he suggested it but im not taking it. I just started taking the arimidex .5mg 3x a week. So you are suggesting I take nolva also for a couple weeks till the arimidex kicks in? Im not doubting your theory on nolva, but most posts/info im reading says nolva is good for preventing gyno, but will not do much if you already have it. So needless to say im confused.

Yes, Nolva helps in preventing gyno from the start but it also has a chance and can reverse gyno symptoms if caught early enough.... but nolva will keep the gyno from worsening until the adex kicks in.... its gonna take about a week for adex to fully kick in and make blood levels stable...
