Do I really need TRT?
Hello!
I'm 24 y.o.
I went to an urologist recently and did a hormone panel. Got the following results:
Testosterone 4.77 ng/ml (2.86 - 15.10)
Free Testostrone 14.78 pg/ml (4.50 - 42.00)
Dehydrotestosterone 1134 ++ pg/ml (250 - 990)
Prolactin 7.8 ng/ml (2.1 - 17.7)
Estradiol 29.5 pg/ml (19.0 - 56.0)
Progresterone 0.25 - ng/ml (0.27 - 0.90)
SHBG 42 nmol/l (13 - 71)
DHEA-S 8.09 mcmol/l (7.60 - 17.40)
So, the problem is extreme DHT and indeed, I posess a generous amount of body hair and am balding at a decent pace. Sexual drive is pretty low, however - probably due to lowish Free T and moderate estradiol.
What are you suggestions? This level of DHT is unhealthy for prostate and something has to be done about it.
What could be causing it?
My urologist presribed, strangely, a combination of injected testosterone and anti-estrogens for a month. Should I follow this suggestion? I mean, I don't want my DHT any higher - wouldn't finasteride both lower my DHT and raise the T to normal levels?

If you want any sex life do not do Finasteride. Have you been stressed out, overtraining, or overworking? They will all make your test levels and sex drive plummet.

Your E2 is perfect. Do not start taking an AI. Not sure what the most effect route to lowering your DHT would be, but I' not sure I'd want to start on a TRT program with those scores at your age. However, I'm not sure what to suggest about the libido, either. Are you coming off of a recent cycle? It may be that you just need to get the HPTA axis rocking again. Possibly some hCG ?

Is 15 Free testosterone low ? Don't you mean your total value?
Also, doesn't high DHT increase libido?
I need to check my DHT, estrogen and total testosterone as well, I've been dealing with amateurs that only checked my free testosterone and said "your problem is not hormonal".

Ok, gentlemen.
I have trained nice last month, drank loads of green tea and ate a broccoli almost every day.
Here are the results:
Testosterone 6.67 ng/ml (2.86 - 15.10)
LH 4.60 mME/ml (1.24 - 7.80)
FSH 0.70 mME/ml (1.00 - 13.58)
Estradiol 58.5 pg/ml (19.0 - 56.0)
SGBH 49 nmol/l (13-71)
DHEA-S 8.44 mcmol/l (7.60 - 17.40)
B-hCG <1.0 mME/ml (0.0 - 2.5)
A total disaster.
What do you thing has caused that? Namely, estradiol and FSH.
I have clomifene - should I use it?
