Estrogen Sensitivity?
So, I've been on TRT for a bit now. My total and free test are right at the tip top of the "normal" range, but so is my estrogen. So last week I started on an AI, and within days I can kinda feel myself getting back to normal. When I first started TRT I felt good between weeks 2-5 but then got back to normal (mood wise, libido wise, energy wise etc... but my gains in the gym and body composition continued to improve dramatically.. in fact I've gained nearly 20 pounds in the past 2 months, mostly very lean)
Since starting the AI, my mood seems to be getting better, libido is showing signs of life again, I'm not as cloudy headed or anxious... Bear in mind this has only been a few days so it could be other factors, could also be placebo effect since I've known AIs to make me feel better. I've taken plenty of pro-hormones in my day, and none really made me feel any better than my normal day to day. But EVERY TIME I have ever taken a 6-bromo supp (an AI for those who don't know what bromo is... its now banned BTW) I had a great libido, my mood was better, and I felt like I think a man should feel. I figured it was the test boost, since mine is *sorta* low (high 400s) when I'm not supplementing.
So my question is, has anybody pinpointed lack of libido, anxiety, and all those lowT symptoms actually being higher estrogen moreso than the lack of test in some cases? I mean, is there such a thing as estrogen sensitivity more than the average person?
I never had gyno, but I've always been more doughy in the middle than your normal joe (until my recent year of maniacal work outs) and I've always been too sensitive, too moody, and too irritable... Except when I was on bromo it seemed. And now, on TRT, once the AI started kicking in a bit, it seems I'm picking back up again.
I know people first starting TRT tend to over analyze things because it seems like the silver bullet holy grail cure to a long term problem that's hard to pinpoint, but do you think I might be on to something with the estrogen sensitivity in my case?

The problem comes when you aren't sure if you are "making this all in your head." I agree that my mood and disposition does change for the better when I take the Arimidex . To me it gets better.....flat tempered and little emotion.
I had a blood test on Monday after 6 weeks on current T dosage and AI. Mine was in high 60's and came down to 25 with AI...but my SHBG is really low and my Free and BioT are at high end of range.
Bottom line here is that I agree with everything you have said.

I *just* completed about two weeks worth of searching the internet for reports and studies on the use of Arimidex in men. [a common AI] More than one of the reports I came across stated that in some cases, high E was indeed the cause of the Low T and further more, in some cases, those who took the AI were able to lower their E numbers to a point were their natural T production resumed and they returned to a "normal" life without TRT. That said, it was still necessary to get tested regularly to keep an eye on E levels and occasionally cycle with the AI to keep everything in line. So I suppose the answer is a possible yes. This could very well be the situation in your case. Or should I say, it's not impossible.
Right now I'm in the same boat as you accept my Estradiol number was a freaking ***167**! So I'm *really* counting on the AI to do it's job. I'll let you know how I feel after a week or so.

More importantly, what are your E2 numbers?
As I understand it, if they're high enough, they'll counter-act the Test; which would explain why you feel better on AI.
