    HRT and body fat....

Was anyone experienced significant body fat redcution while only on a HRT dosage (no more than 200 mg/wk)?

I had some fat loss and muscle gain when I first went on (first six weeks). My fat loss wasn't significant, maybe four pounds, but the gained muscle pushed my body fat percentage down so it seemed more impressive.

22% to 13% over 6 months...dat significant enough? got stronger the whole way while losing weight..

    is that your main goal?

one of test's main job in the body is to deal with fat

That is awesome... I know I have lost some, but not that much. I have had some problems with E2, and I think that may have slowed me down a bit.

I've definitely put on muscle, but I wouldn't say I've seen any fat loss that I can attribute directly to the testosterone .

I lost the fat around my mid section. I would guess about 5-10 lbs and have gained 10-15 muscle. Since I have been on TRT I no longer eat junk food anymore. I used to eat a ton of crap looking for energy and now I'm good to go

i have to give the credit to trt cuz i had been on a certain diet for about 6 months and went from 290 to 250lbs(approx 22-25%bf) and COULD NOT budge anymore for 4 months or so...did NOTHING different (same diet) but added test and arimidex and it was like magic.....lost weight and got stronger the whole time...if u read some of my old threads you'll read the same thing...i've posted it several times i believe....i owe it all to this site....i always wondered WHAT IF ...i had optimal test my whole life...

i started 3 weeks ago and gained about 8 pounds, my fat % is still the same based on my omron fat monitor, so i am assuming i gained muscle and fat. my arms look leaner but my belly seem a little thicker fat wise! i am on test cyp 200mg and deca 50mg weekly, and 50mg anavar daily.

I have been on TRT for almost a year now, and have added a few pounds of fat. Around 11-12% now. However, for several years prior to my therapy I was popping Anavar tabs like M&Ms and was very, very lean and mean. I am almost embarrassed to admit that it was like an ADDICTION. Anyway, way better now thanks to TRT.

I have been on HRT for about a year. My protocol (cruising) is 200mg Test C, 250iu HCG 2x EW, and 2iu HGH ED. At first I did not loose much weight on the Test alone, maybe gained a few pounds of muscle but not much fat loss. I just could not get below 20% and all the trainers were saying that was great for a guy my age (48). I started the HGH and dropped 5% body fat in the first 6 weeks and didn't change my diet at all. Since then, I maintain around 12 - 15% without much effort. I am blasting a winter bulking cycle right now and having trouble putting on any body fat at all with the HGH and peptides.

I got a script and then ordered it from a UGL for a fraction of the price. I figured if I have any trouble getting caught in the mail I would have a script for it.

I lost a significant amount of fat. I think trt is somewhat responsible, however most of it was making healthy lifestyle changes. Exercise diet etc. The trt is just one cog in the machine that can help keep things running optimally. It is not a magic pill. If you eat crap and don't exercise, fat loss won't happen. For me, the most significant contribution of the TRT was increased energy and desire to exercise.

I lost about 10 pounds right away after getting on TRT. Then, after doing the Nutrisystem diet for three months, I lost another 30 pounds. No body fat numbers though. I do believe the TRT had something to do with the weight loss, but the dieting was also important.

    sirp

yes, pretty significant weight loss directly attributed to trt and lowering E2 - 50lbs - all around mid section and chest, lat area. Just curious, are you asking because you need to lose some BF?

I noticed my body changing right away. I think it was my second week and my wife was amazed and said my stomach looked different and my bellybutton changed. I wasn't in bad shape to start, but I did shed some extra pounds. It's been a couple years now and you can't pinch any fat from my kegs or arms. I have been lifting steady for about 15 years, but it does take you to another level. My dose is about 200MG a week.

I've noticed body composition change, don't have specific figures... I was about 155 and soft. 150mg/wk dose for 2 months. Now about 160 w/ noticeable muscle growth and fat loss from abdomen, chest, triceps. My massage therapist has noticed changes in quads and calves specifically. She recommended my doc and commented I respond very quickly to HRT compared to others she works with. I'm 32, so that helps.

Part of it is I feel better and want to train more. Even more motivated to shovel snow, walk the dog, clean the house, etc...

x 2 on this. I've become much stronger & more muscular though. I curently average 15% to 16% @ 275 lbs. If I could just get cardio in check I'd probably experience the extra fat loss others have mentioned...

Thanks jpkman & I think yr right! My Dr. actually thinks so too lol. I have started more cardio over the last 2 weeks. My problem is I much prefer throwing heavy weight around versus doing cardio. Plus I'm much stronger when I'm at least 270+ ;-(
